We visited Scanno for the day last Saturday and stopped for lunch at the Porta. We booked an hour in advance, but being February we easily found a place, in other periods I don't know because the place is really small, but for this reason it is also welcoming and I also liked the interaction that Mrs. Bice (I think she is the owner) manages to create among the various customers by describing the traditional dishes they serve. There were two of us and we had two first courses, two second courses, a side dish, a dessert, water, beer and coffee, and we spent the right amount for a meal like this (€67). The menu is daily, changes according to seasonality and serves traditional dishes, for example we had the cazzinicchi with foie and some really good spaghetti alla guitar. Advised!

Typical restaurant located in one of the most beautiful villages in Abruzzo: Scanno. Excellent food and very helpful staff! I highly recommend it!

As soon as the historic center of Scanno begins, my partner and I stopped in this little restaurant for a quick lunch. We left pleasantly surprised and full. We took the Cazzellitti con le fuoje (dumplings of flour and water with herbs) and the Tripe Scannese (the shoe is obligatory) all delicious and to conclude a melted chocolate cake with amaretti biscuits and an Zabaione with coffee which was pure joy! Not only is the food worthy of praise, the Lady and Francesco are always available, very kind and smiling. If you are in Scanno stop by.

I primi vengono fatti a mano,i piatti sono tutti tipici, antipasto abbondante (tanto che pensavamo che fossero 2 uniti in un tagliere), personale iper cordiale,ed in fine i prezzi sono per niente alti. Ci siamo trovati molto molto bene.

Quando le cose sono perfette c’è veramente poco da dire.La gentilezza dei proprietari e il loro venir incontro alle nostre esigenze insieme allla qualità e all’abbondanza del cibo fanno di questo ristornante un fiore all’occhiello nel centro di scanno. Prezzi nella media per un posto che vive di turismo . Fantastico!
