I've been stopping in for lunch when I'm in the area for 25 years now. Simple and tasty restaurant as it should be for a quick midday break. Good quality food and always friendly staff. Recommended.

Es gibt sie noch,die Ristorante die ihre Preise von früher noch beibehalten haben. Es war sehr lecker,Portionen reichlich und das Personal freundlich. Was will man mehr. Das Menue komplett mit Wasser und einem halben Liter Wein für 13 Euro ist der Hammer. Parkplätze für Lkws gibt es genug und die Duschen sind sauber.Sehr empfehlenswert.

We have been passing this place for many years on trips to Stresa, usually on our way elsewhere but this time determined to visit. And we're so glad we did. Unprepossessing is putting it mildly when viewed from outside, particularly with the many trucks parked outside. But don't let that put you off. It was the best pizza that we had in three weeks in Italy, the grilled trout was utterly simple but fresh and delicious with a rich caponata. The two pasta dishes with which we both started were extraordinary, they would not have been out of place in surroundings much grander. Rigatoni with gamberi and zucchini, and tortellini with radicchio, pancetta and cipolle fritta; rich without being overpowering or overcheesed, prepared with such care. A good local wine selection, excellent choice of birra rossa, acqua and coffees and we came away completely satisfied, vowing to visit again, and having spent €58!!! In short, this is a proper Italian restaurant, the real deal.
