It’s not as we imagined and memorized at all. Meat was very salty and too well done. Spaghetti is dry. Pizza should be their specialty but I don’t see much difference with ones that I have been having from take outs from outside of this town. Very disappointing to my memory of this restaurant.

Over the years, not only have they not increased prices much (despite being just a few meters from Piazza Maggiore), but I have found the same kindness and helpfulness of the staff (the guys are always attentive and with a nice smile) and the absolute goodness of the dishes! For me it's a fixed stop in Bologna!

When we come to Bologna we always have dinner at this restaurant/pizzeria. Reservations are allowed, truly attentive and friendly service, very good food, reasonable prices which have only increased in the last two years but very little, much less than the average. VERY GOOD, continue like this and we will always be your guests for dinner during your stays in Bologna.

Per un pasto veloce ho visitato il Ristorante "Scalinatella" a Bologna. Il servizio è stato coerente con le aspettative, con una ragazza estremamente disponibile. La pizza non è stata soddisfacente, ma il primo piatto di vongole era buono. Purtroppo, forse a causa di problemi di lievitazione della pizza, ho avuto problemi nel digerire il pasto. Speravo in un'esperienza migliore.

We went here last night after a few drinks in a fabulous Italian bar down the road, the staff were very kind and friendly and made an effort to understand us as we don’t speak Italian. We had pasta for starts and then pizza, the food was excellent and with 4 drinks, it was only 50 euros so it was great value. Get here early or book ahead as there was a queue of at least 20 people waiting to be seated when we left around 9pm

06/04/2024: Point of reference for the specialties of Emilian cuisine and for the generous welcome of the restaurateurs of this enchanting landscape of the Bolognese hills. Traditional dishes from the highest quality raw materials, cooked and served with profound professionalism and knowledge and kind and sincerely welcoming manners. In all my travels I have never eaten such thin pastry and so resistant to cooking, such a tasty and light broth, such special cold cuts in terms of cut and taste. Perfect overnight stay upon awakening to a personalized breakfast with rare homemade tarts and croissants. Modest and honest prices. Outside is an expanse of peace in the shape of a hilly forest for a real escape.
29/02/2024: I stayed in this hotel last night due to an unexpected event (the car left us stranded). Very clean and comfortable room, rich and very good breakfast, super friendly staff. All this in the low season without notice with check in at 3 am. I highly recommend it.

28/03/2024: Small restaurant, there are very few seats and it is not very easy to find. But once you find it, you sit down, and you go to heaven. Very kind staff and dishes that are out of this world, I recommend the gramigna with meat sauce. Really excellent value for money. I'll be back for sure
18/03/2024: One of my favorite places in the center of Bologna. Nice and friendly staff and.....the food is great!
