Ristorante San Michele In Avigliana

A pearl in the heart of Avigliana. After the working day away, I decided to walk around the historic center of Avigliana and my appetite made me notice this restaurant. Small, intimate, discreet, with excellent jazz background music, I was able to taste typical local specialties accompanied by the friendliness and courtesy of the owner Gianfranco. Excellent cuisine, local raw materials and an organic cellar from which I tasted a very pleasant red of Ciliegiolo and Sangiovese; being organic wines, free of sulphites, no headaches. I highly recommend.

Menù raccontato nei minimi dettagli, descrizione precisa di ogni materia prima utilizzata. Dalla qualità dei piatti e dal servizio si percepisce la passione alle spalle della gestione. Super consigliato

Capitato quasi per caso in questo ristorante, per un breve break durante un viaggio di rientro dalla Francia, ho trovato un posto in cui invece non vedo l'ora di ritornare. Anzitutto per la qualità dei piatti e delle materie prime (elenco dei fornitori all'interno del menù...una rarità), ma anche per il servizio cortese, competente, con un po' di humor, ma mai invadente. Piatti rispettosi della tradizione ma rivisitati con attenzione, ottimi davvero il tortino di patate e porri con fonduta di crema, la carne cruda di vitello e lo spiedo, una delizia la torta di nocciole. La carta dei vini non esiste, perché si rinnova continuamente e contiene autentiche perle di vignaioli selezionati e indipendenti. Prezzi onestissimi. Radici e tenacia si mescolano in un modello che va premiato, sponsorizzato (ed imitato).

Excellent restaurant. Very pleasant environment in the historic center of medieval Avigliana. Very kind staff, prepared and always attentive to the needs and desires of customers. Good choice of foods, all prepared with care and with excellent raw materials, most often originating from the nearby mountains. Desserts include an excellent chestnut panna cotta and a soft hazelnut cake. The rating can only be: five stars. Franco Stuarti

Lovely setting and excellent food. The owner is truly courteous, friendly, passionate and attentive to diners. Selection of refined wines without added sulphites. We dined with a really good Ca' de Noci from Emilia Romagna.
