In addition to the restaurant, don't forget to visit the museum and visit the shop where you can buy Brunello of all vintages! If you ask, you can also visit the dairy and try the hidden pearl of this incredible place.

30 years - that is how long we have admired the wine dei Barbi produces. We finally were able to make the trip for a wine tasting. In December, they were not crowded and we had a lovely time going through the recent vintages as well as new offerings we are unable to get in the states. As someone that enjoys wine and have visited several wineries, we learned something new here - a high complement. The tasting room was cosy and our host full of details but not overbearing. Make the trip beyond Montalcino - and enjoy the craftsmanship of what a really good Brunello can deliver.

Tasting with lunch Good cold cuts Space cheeses Malfatti with truffle to be revised a little, too much truffle oil and not enough truffle, and in quantity Very very good dry desserts I found Vinsanto to be poorly structured For the rest, really very very good Brunello, welcoming and discreet service

06/04/2024: Discovered this gem when visiting Siena. We walked past it, and it looked so good, we had to circle back. A wine bar with amazing, delicious food. We had a red wine tasting, and had two soups - vegetables & tomato. It was a cold day - and this was exactly what we needed. We were there just after lunch time, and didn't want to eat too much - but all around us tables were filled with incredible looking and smelling food. Wine was delicious - had an amazing red. Btw, the wait staff is incredibly sweet, accommodating and so beautiful! A true Italian treat!

22/03/2024: If you want to eat well you will be won over, Only if you want to have a good time, it will depend on the mood of the employees. For our experience, the meal more than lived up to our expectations. For my part, I would advise you to try the pizzas, obviously, but very pleasantly surprised by the good products that compensated for them. (Tip: Pizza di Buffala). As for the service, with employees who don't smile all evening, it's quite confusing and not welcoming. Despite these slight flaws, this in no way prevents you from having a good evening. To conclude, the food is excellent, but the service leaves something to be desired.
11/02/2024: Rustic and easy-going place, good pizza and friendly staff but definitely too long of a wait to be served: the place is full but it still doesn't justify such a long wait, the only real flaw.
