This was one of our favorite restaurants from the whole 2-week trip we took to Italy, but still some pros and cons to share. Pros: the wait staff is very friendly and the food is superb. We got the seafood risotto for two (it comes in a wooden gondola, see the pics below!) which was to die for even for people who don't like seafood. We also got lasagna, a crab linguine, a tiramisu and then the restaurant gave us free cookies and pastries which were also fantastic. The desserts really knocked this experience out of the park for us. Cons: We had to wait more than 30 minutes outside and it was confusing how to sign up for a table and how long the wait would be. When we finally got to the front of the line expecting to be seated next, two families walked up (without reservations) and were seated first only because they had small children. I understand the logic from the wait staff, but something to keep in mind if you plan on showing up without a reservation.

Visiting Ridha definitely means wanting to have a good time! This restaurant was recommended to us by a wine bar near the Rialto, perfect because very close to where we had an aperitif! The restaurant is a must in terms of atmosphere, welcome and price. And, even if I ate very well, I cannot say that we would choose this place for haute cuisine. The dishes are very good, very plentiful, fresh,… there is no desire to show off with flowers or unnecessary decorations and that’s fine! On the other hand, it is advisable to book because as many people want to spend some time there, there is a line…! Thank you in any case to the boss and their entire team for the moment of relaxation they gave us, it was great and we will come back!!!!

One of the best pasta I have had in my Italian trip so far (already been to Florence, Tuscany, Cinque Terra). Had the squid ink pasta, seafood soup (mussels and clams), and the special Bone marrow risotto, it’s perfecto! They also have a pair of resident-singing Italian opera to patrons. Maybe a slight complaint about their service (the service staff seem impatient and wanted to clear the plates too fast!)

If you don't come and eat at Al Gazzettino it's like if you didn't come to Venecia 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 👌🏼👌🏼 The food is delicious and the service is amazing. They explain the dish and tell you how local the ingredients are. Al Gazzettino is a MUST in Venecia! Thank you Alex for treating us like family 🙏🏻

Quando sono tornato a Venezia,Non ho potuto non fermarmi di nuovo alla trattoria il gazzettino.Tipica cucina regionale. Si mangia benissimo soprattutto il pesce. Tutti i piatti sono favolosi e i dolci super. Abbiamo bevuto un raboso veramente buono . Prezzi giusti e alla fine offerto la grappa con l uva passa e biscotti . Tappa obbligatoria per mangiare a Venezia.

Restaurant typique de Venise, la cuisine est très bonne , ambiance sympa seul bémol le service est expéditif .

We enjoyed a fantastic and very memorable meal, quirky italian waiters (you'll warm up to them). Our vegetable risotto was delicious for anyone not up to seafood (I'm not used to seafood, I grew up in the desert). But every other table having seafood was saying great things. You'll have a great meal, but if you're hungry, make that reservation, they are fast but busy and it's a small restaurant.
