It's one of "my" places. I frequent it often and willingly. I love the old Milan atmosphere and decor. I feel comfortable, I feel at home. Very kind waiters and fast service except when it is very full. Generally good and well-finished food which occasionally loses quality but I have noticed that it also happens in other good restaurants. In short, it goes a little day by day, as also happens with home cooking. Overall I promote it and recommend it. I forgot, in summer you can eat outside surrounded by greenery. It's pleasant and not so common in Milanese restaurants.

One of the locations of the 1978 film Saxofone. A scene involving Renato Pozzetto, Mariangela Melato and Diego Abatantuono was filmed in the venue. Chatting with the staff I learned that that wasn't the only time film sets arrived there, but advertisements were also filmed there. If you haven't booked, I recommend going when it opens because then the place fills up.

Non tornavo da tempo in questo tradizionale ristorante di Milano e devo dire che ha ancora un suo perché. La cucina non ha guizzi particolari, ma è curata e gradevole; il servizio è efficiente. Begli gli ambienti, soprattutto le prime sale, d'impronta antica e un po' sabauda. Nella scelta dei piatti, andate sul classico: risotto con ossobuco o l'immancabile carrello dei bolliti, con nove pezzi della tradizione, abbondante e piacevole. Conto nella media milanese, cioè non proprio modico, ma perlomeno adeguato al livello del locale e della cucina.

Zona Tortona, una delle zone di Milano che preferisco. La trattoria Aurora una certezza. ottimi piatti piemontesi e milanesi. Locale affascinante, ti sembra di essere stata catapultata agli inizi del '900. Personale preparato e d eccellente. Il cameriere che ci ha servito sabato sera veramente eccezionale. Vogliamo parlare del cibo? Bolliti ottimi e osso buco con risotto eccellente. Non vedo l'ora di ritornare a Milano per andare a cena qui.
