Perfect place to stay! Huge terrace! The breakfast is unique!

Good Roman cuisine, with 3 "tastes" including great classics carbonara, cacio e pepe and matriciana, all valid; the artichokes are a little subdued; informal and pleasant environment, discreet service; one flaw, the table too small for our number.

this is by far my favorite restaurant in rome. i just had the bucatini amatriciana and the the spaghetti cicoria e guanciale , to start we had the artichokes wow! love they serve the chilly fresh with little scissors so you don’t end up getting red eye by accident, i do love it spicy very much thanks! after lunch you can walk over to my store in piazza Capranica and say hello!

We had 2 antipasti and 2 pasta dishes with wine and water. Every dish was fresh and exceptional. The oldschool family vibe and the kitchiness of the space design somehow added to the feeling of being in an old friend's kitchen having a homecooked meal. Would recommend to anyone that wants a qualitative and not stuck up dining experience. Staff is extremely relaxed and friendly as well.

Da Gino was recommended by our hotel. We stopped by to make a reservation for the next night. When we arrived, seating was brisk and not friendly. When we asked, in broken Italian, if there were any specialties, he was impolite and rude. Did not offer any suggestions, made it seem like we had offended him for asking. We are very polite and kind. I really don’t know what we did wrong. They switched out to a different waiter! That waiter also cleared out plates as others were still eating. I was honestly shocked. Food was okay. Carbonara was very good. Prices very reasonable. For a small family run place, I couldn’t believe how standoffish everyone was. It was truly disappointing.

Great atmosphere, great waiter, great food

We finally did it... on a Thursday for lunch! With wife and son, we go at 11.30 to confirm the table, everything is ok for 1.00pm... we arrive precisely, they make us sit in the internal room (very naive, particular but pleasant environment) placing the menus on the table and having them arrive. water immediately, with the kindness of the waiter who followed us until the end... Wide choice of dishes, of traditional Roman and national origin: I choose the house dish "tonnarelli alla ciociara" (peas, mushrooms and bacon, in white), wife with fresh tagliatelle, artichokes and bacon, son with tagliatelle with ragù = speedy service, abundant rations and good quality... To follow, Roman saltimbocca x2, chicory for me, baked potatoes for the son and my wife a "simple" Roman artichoke (those to be cooked on display in the tidy fridge in the dining room)... 1/4 of wine, water, dessert and coffee to finish, while in the restaurant we witness the continuous entry and exit of the many customers, many of whom we understand are fond of the place certainly for the reasons listed here... I CONFIRM that the reviews are truthful, friends and another son have previously been there, and everyone has testified to the quality of the place... we will definitely return, Mr. Gino did an excellent job and his son (present in the room) continues in the same direction!

Locale storico ben conosciuto dai parlamentari. Piccolo e con servizio adeguato e camerieri spiritosi. Vino della casa non eccezionale, anzi .... Primi e secondi buoni ma non irripetibili. Locale molto bello.

Andavo sempre da Gino 30 anni fa e più ed era sempre buonissimo, pienissimo frequentatissimo sia da romani che da turisti....🌟🌟🌟 A distanza di 30 anni (non ci sono più andato) Da Gino è cambiato poco... Gino non c'è più ma il suo spirito vive e brilla🌞🌞 con i due figli che seguono questo storico ristorante con grande passione.💗 Tutti i piatti sono buoni o molto buoni (da migliorare solo i dolci) e la cortesia dei padroni di casi è squisita.🤗 Quindi se volete andare in un vero, autentico ristorante romano Da Gino è la scelta perfetta!💥💥 Indispensabile prenotare (locale dog friendly per padroni educati).
