Trattoria del Nuovo Macello In Milano

I returned there after some time and it remains one of my favorite places in zone 4... risotto to be had, as is the now famous schnitzel. First time trying tiramisu and the photo speaks for itself 🤤 Congratulations to the chef and all the staff 👏🏻

This restaurant is famous for its thick cotoletta, but this bean pasta sauce is so delicious that it almost makes you faint! !

We loved it, it’s delicious and it’s worth it because it’s out of the way but go ahead, it’s very good as we love traditional bistro cuisine! Fine wine. And it’s full!

I go often when I'm in Milan and I really enjoy it. The starred chef Giovanni is very good and imaginative and in the dining room his sister Paola is very kind and capable.

Good food, the room downstairs nice, the one upstairs not so much. Excellent cellar. Fluctuating service; the guys not as trained as the owners.

Very nice and elegant restaurant. The Wiener schnitzel was really very good!! The staff was really very knowledgeable and kind: highly recommended!

Cibo buono ma porzioni davvero striminzite. Per non cadere nell'abusato "trattoria con prezzi da ristorante" cerco di essere più dettagliato. Signature dish la cotoletta, qui proposta in versione alta: oggettivamente impeccabile la realizzazione tecnica, il piatto risulta buono ma non certo abbondante visto il costo di 33€. Se in tanti altri locali della pur costosa Milano la cotoletta può rappresentare un piatto unico sufficiente per un pasto, qui ci si alzerebbe con la fame. Porzioni davvero risicate pure per i piatti con materie prime più economiche, come risotto, contorni e addirittura il pane: buona la focaccia, ma 1 piccola fettina a testa e stop, giusto per ribadire che qui non si abbonda in niente. Se i 33€ della cotoletta sono quantomeno discutibili, sicuramente assurdi sono i 7€ per il puré di patate, che non é una porzione generosa della ricetta di Robuchon ma una misera tazzina di ordinario puré, non male per carità ma un po' triste anche nella presentazione, tanto da chiedersi il motivo di tale prezzo... Della trattoria rimane in pratica solo la location. Per concludere: qualità sí, prezzi ní, quantità proprio no, motivi per tornare pochi.

Capitato per puro caso in questo bel locale, curato nei dettagli e dotato di una tavernetta dove spicca la cabina dei vini. Ordinato i Mandeghili, polpette tipiche milanesi ed un piatto di Risotto con pistilli di zafferano e lodigiano stagionato, tutto eccellente. Servizio impeccabile e cordiale. Ampia e ricca carta dei vini. Consigliato
