Restaurant in a magnificent location. Great food. the appetizer with prawns top

A well-kept restaurant located at the end of the Marciana Marina bay, overlooking the sea, where 2 of us had dinner. We were welcomed by courteous staff with the welcome 2 entrees of the house. Afterwards we shared a large raw fish as an appetizer; good but nevertheless I have to highlight a little lack in terms of variety in the offer. In particular, we didn't appreciate that there were no oysters and that there was only 1 scampi, compared to the numerous local prawns which, although good, are certainly less valuable and tasty. The spaghetti with lobster was really delicious and the lobster anthology was also appreciated. We concluded with 2 sorbets and 3 glasses of wine, for a total cost of 150 euros. If you're passing through, it's worth a stop.

A decidedly romantic place at sunset. I went with friends and we were all surprised by the quality and attention to service of the waiters. Our surprise was the appetizer offered by the house, followed by all the dishes that arrived with a truly exceptional decoration and a unique flavour. The treasure chest of meringue is surprising and the clam cappuccino is fun.

Last night my wife and I ate in the Umami restaurant....what can I say: an absolutely excellent experience. The location is exceptional with its outdoor tables directly "in the sea". Courtesy and preparation of all the staff I would say perfect.... Reading the menu you immediately see that it is a restaurant where art reigns supreme in the kitchen: and in fact from the first course you are greatly enraptured.....so much so that we delighted in everything from the appetizer to the dessert ! The Chef, with whom we had the pleasure of speaking at the end of the evening, is a true artist and we renew our compliments to him. Until next time. Francis of Monza

Probably the best restaurant on the island, both for the breathtaking location on the rocks of Marciana Marina, with the sunset and the port in front of your table, and for the truly stellar menu, with combinations and proposals that are not at all obvious and masterfully prepared. The menu is atypical, it does not have a precise division into starters, first courses and second courses as we usually see, but rather it is a combination of all of them: this is due to the fact that the portions are actually not different, so each dish can be considered a course in itself. Average prices around 28 euros per dish. I won't comment on the courses because I believe it is a unique taste experience, which can only be minimized by my verbal description; I'll just say that they all convinced me, even the dessert was surprising in its simplicity. Important bill, it must be noted, but I believe it is an experience worth the final cost. Keep it up!

Il miglior ristorante di Marciana Marina se vuoi fare un’esperienza sensoriale di alto livello. Posizione bellissima e romantica. Il prezzo non è adeguato alla cena. Ci siamo stati più volte in 15 giorni di soggiorno.

We had high expectations given the reviews, it was not satisfactory at all. The wine list is very limited especially in Italian bubbles, 3 in total. The menu is definitely overrated, the fried prawns are boring, nothing special, the breed is good, both pasta dishes didn't excite us, on the contrary... The prices are too high overall, the food and the place are not worth it The cold and characterless external veranda. The restaurant seems to want to present itself as a starred restaurant given the prices and the welcome entrees but unfortunately it is absolutely not worth it.

Romantic restaurant with simply outstanding and original dishes. Each of the five choices we made were delicious and beautiful. However this restaurant suffers from the lack of a true maitre (or owner present in the dining room). The service was frigid and unfriendly with rarely a smile or any warmth. What a shame that the chef and kitchen staff are knocking it out of the park but the dining room staff behave as they are working in a 2 star Michelin restaurant. Lighten up so we can have some fun!

Dopo qualche anno che cercavo di mangiare in questo posto siamo finalmente riusciti! Il ristorante Umami che significa saporito e viene ormai ascritto come il sesto senso, si trova nel borgo del Cotone a Marciana Marina accanto alla piazza che affaccia sulla rada del paese. Il locale d'estate ha disposto i suoi tavoli lungo un camminamento con una bellissima vicinanza al mare, gli scogli e le barche alla fonda. I tavoli sono apparecchiati con tovaglie di stoffa sopra alle quali è ricamato in celeste il nome del ristorante (very chic). Noi abbiamo presto un menù degustazione che prevede 8 portate a base di pesce. Tutto molto buono, servito con un buon ritmo e un servizio personale gentile. Alla fine ci è stata anche regalata una scatolina con all'interno tre cioccolatini. Come vino abbiamo preso un buon bianco. Il menù degustazione viene 90 euro a testa. E' stata una piacevole serata.

Ritorniamo in questo ristorante, dopo qualche anno, attirati dalla bella posizione. Il menu è “scomposto” i piatti cioè sono elencati in ordine sparso senza essere suddivisi tra antipasti, primi e secondi, scelta dello chef ci dicono, si può ordinare tutto senza un ordine preciso. Io personalmente non l’apprezzo. Ci sono vari tipi di spaghetti (solo spaghetti) vari tipi di crudo e qualche portata (non classificabile antipasto o secondo) di pesce. Prima di iniziare ci portano alcune entree dello chef, buone ma minuscole. Dopo aver cercato di decodificare il menu per estrapolare un antipasto e un primo, opto per la cheviche di scampi, la marinatura non si sente, sembra un normale crudo. Proseguo con uno spaghetto risottato agli scampi, gli scampi mi sembrano troppo cotti. Il servizio ha qualche mancanza, si vede che i camerieri sono stagionali. A mio avviso per le cifre che chiedono ci sono vari aspetti da migliorare.
