A portkey between Ponte Crencano and Japan. Delicious sushi, surreal atmosphere and incredible staff! I highly recommend it over all the "all u can eat" restaurants in the city!

Definitely the best Japanese food in Verona and its province. You will not find such a quality/price ratio in any restaurant. Impossible not to return.

It's been a while since I've been back, and I was surprised to see that not only did the quality of the sushi remain top-notch, but that the place had also improved! There is a lot of choice even under €10, so much so that a simple portion of spaghetti (very tasty) would be enough as a meal in itself. The place is very welcoming and clean, and some tables have been added so you can eat on site (I recommend calling beforehand if you want to stop). The dishes arrived immediately, a sign that the kitchen is well organised. We also got some meat skewers, which were very tender and tasty. The prices are really honest, and with 15 euros I got a nice 20 piece portion of sushi. They were kind enough to even offer us drinks (water and Coca Cola)! I saw that Ramen is also available, so I hope to return as soon as possible to try it, because in most of the Japanese restaurants I've been to it wasn't available, and it could be a big strong point in the restaurant's offering. All in all, I think I prefer Yayoi to any other ayce restaurant in the area, not only for the price, but also for the quality of the food, and I especially recommend it to anyone who wants to try Japanese cuisine for the first time.

Discovered by my personal coach Massimiliano Giulio Recchia we went to review (tasting an excellent product made of rice and lightly spiced steamed tripe) we found here a real Japanese restaurateur owner named Ken (like the warrior...ed.). Good a fantastic empathy was immediately born, sealed with a toast (Sampei) to sake and the promise to see each other again and the story continues......

Ambiente curatissimo, molto intimo, personale veramente gentile e cordiale e soprattutto cibo eccellente. Abbiamo provato diversi tipi di nigiri e uramaki. Consigliatissimi anche i takoyaki (polpette di polipo) e tonkatsu (cotoletta di maiale fritta) veramente veramente buone. Il prezzo è proporzionato ma è veramente un'esperienza. Esperienza nipponica a Verona: confermato. Dopo un paio d'anni ritrovo il locale rinnovato e ancora più in grado di ricreare le atmosfere del sol levante meno "patinato". L'ambiente è ridotto ma non angusto, pensato più per il take away che per pranzo o cene (i gruppi numerosi non ci mangiano), ma una cena in solitario è una buona possibilità per chi punta alla qualità e non alla quantità. Si lasci da parte il concetto di AYCE: il menù è appeso sopra il bancone ed è alla carta. Un piatto di ramen può tranquillamente fare da pasto completo: la fragranza e la cura nella preparazione sono molto sopra la media di quello che si consuma in altro locali. Il personale è riservato ma affabile, la cucina non è del tutto a vista ma si può intuire la preparazione in corso dal suono e dall'andirivieni dei cuochi con le pietanze: le dimensioni del locale non richiedono camerieri. In generale può essere valido per un'esperienza di cucina orientale di qualità con atmosfera molto nipponica, da soli o in coppia.

Un locale piccolo e recentemente ristrutturato, decentrato anche rispetto i consueti e più grandi locali. Specializzato nell’asporto, i pochi tavoli rappresentano un’opportunità. A tratti intimo. Vasta scelta, prezzi nella norma, qualità buona. Meglio muoversi per tempo.
