Al Barone In Monte sant'angelo

Local in the center of Monte Sant'Angelo, a stone's throw from the Church. Stumbled upon it by chance on a Sunday for lunch. Small but well kept place. Friendly owners. My disappointment is due to two things: 1. among others we ordered a slice of veal (cost 17 EUR), cooked rare... I was presented with a thin slice of veal (obviously not rare... it wouldn't have been possible) cut into strips... .the Tagliata is something else... 2. Not serious but it made me feel unwell... The water is served in glass jugs, perfect, nothing special... I am asked: do you want more water? Yes... the jug is taken away (too bad it wasn't empty) and then brought back full.... but I pay for 2 bottles of water... a nonsense that however bothered me. Result: recommended? NI

A beautiful place a few steps from the church of San Michele. We had lunch with an extensive and truly delicious tourist menu. Excellent quality grilled meat, first courses made by expert hands, in particular cicatelli, mussels and rocket. Clean, well-maintained environment. Welcomed I presume by the very good and kind owners

Nice restaurant in the heart of the city. Good quality food, tasty, we didn't have to wait long. Caring waitress, wish she spoke English.

Abbiamo ordinato il menu fisso a 20 euro per il pranzo, che dire era tutto eccezionale! Orecchiette con ragù fenomenali e abbondanti! Consigliatissimo

Typical local restaurant with home-style cuisine where we try to combine the flavors of the mountains with those of the sea. The owners are very attentive to both products and hygiene. Try all those typical poor local dishes with a finish of local desserts.

Homemade cuisine...abundant dishes with excellent presentation... I recommend this restaurant for those who love to eat simply and tastefully.

Volendo cenare in centro storico domenica sera prenoto tramite la piattaforma The Fork. Non beneficio di alcuna promozione ma mi lascio tentare dalla proposta del menù. Optiamo per un antipasto della casa da dividere in due, poi due primi. Il tutto accompagnato da del vino bianco fermo ed 1 litro di Ferrarelle. Molto buono tutto ma non troppo generose le porzioni. Decidiamo di concludere la serata con un dolce e ci lasciamo conquistare dall' aspetto di una torta di mele fatta in casa. Lo stupore è al momento della consegna della porzione, davvero infima. Ancor più stupito rimarrò al momento del conto quando quella portata è costata € 4,5 cadauna.... Due caffé per finire. Alla fine 71 € per mangiare bene sì, ma invito alla revisione dei prezzi di alcune proposte i ad adeguare le porzioni. Fanno scadere l'impressione altrimenti positiva solo per il sospetto di voler speculare oltremodo.
