Al Capitel In Bardolino

Beautiful hidden garden, parking, really good food and very kind and hospitable owners. We also had a small dog who they accepted without any problems. We really liked it!

One of our favorite restaurants in Bardolino. A little away from the typical tourist bars on the water. Good Italian cuisine (Bigoli carbonara with smoked trout, or with sarde from the lake, delicious). Recommended starter: polenta with pike!! Price/performance is completely fine! Pretty patio in the backyard. Service is great, nice service and fast food! Of course we’ll be back! grace

A little outside the center and the tourists, but an excellent restaurant with typical, well-cooked dishes such as smoked trout. Kind and attentive staff. Definitely recommended also for the costs

AL CAPITEL: SIMPLE BUT GOOD I discovered "Al Capitel" by chance passing through the road that leads from the Parc Hotel Germano to the center and it seemed appealing, deciding to book for the evening. Good choice. A spartan place, typical of a tavern, it appears without frills but immediately makes you feel like you belong to the place: in fact, it doesn't even feel like you're at the lake. The service is well managed and the owner - with whom we ended up having a chat, even explaining her passion for the coffee pots hanging at the entrance - is very kind. Punctual, without particular pressure and within adequate deadlines. Well-structured menu although I would add a little more typical and/or local dishes which, certainly, cannot be found elsewhere. Dishes that are still there, such as bigoli with lake sardines or salmon trout. Second courses are skimpy, however, only two are: the Venetian-style liver and the smoked trout. The food, however, is worthy. Dishes well served with nice portions that feed you: I had the bigoli with sardines which were very tasty, they melted in your mouth and the pasta was fresh, while the second course was an excellent smoked salmon trout well boned (I caught some only two in number) with that very pleasant slightly smoky taste. Plus it was very big! Price absolutely normal: first courses around 10-14 and second courses less than €20, the trout reaches 17.50, more than honest for the size of the dish. Ate bigoli carbonara with smoked trout, fantastic 🤩, macaroni with truffle 😋, sublime cut 😍..... but the unmissable dish is the dessert, tiramisu with pavesini, exceptional ❤️❤️❤️......we will definitely be back.

If you're looking for a typical Italian restaurant, you've come to the right place. Away from the tourist bars, you will find good quality here with friendly service (the boss 😀 - also speaks good German). The boss is in the kitchen and the son also helps out. Not really noticeable from the outside, the restaurant has charm inside and out. After a week of Bardolino restaurants, this Osteria is our favorite. Simple, warm, good at a normal price. Definitely worth a visit.

Piccolo locale sulla strada, siamo capitati per caso e ci è piaciuto molto. Personale gentilissimo, abbiamo mangiato molto bene!! Torneremo!!

Piccola osteria in stile retrò (con eventuale giardino esterno) a pochi passi dal centro di Bardolino, con parcheggio per una decina di auto. Servizio cordiale ed attento. Cibo locale ben cucinato, porzioni corrette. Abbiamo pranzato principalmente a base di pesce di lago: antipasto di Luccio con polenta, pasta con Trota e - top - Trota affumicata in casa. Tutto molto gustoso. Discreto anche il vino della casa. Senz'altro consigliato, siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti Conto giusto.
