Al Convento was an incredible surprise ! The restaurant is part of the original 15th century convent in the center of Palmanova. Hospitality and service were excellent. We had appetizers of grilled octopus and a salad which consisted of the local red lettuce called “Rosa da Gorizia”. We sipped on local Friuli Cabernet. My husband had the lamb entree with roast potatoes, herbs ,grapes ………Exceptional quality and flavor . My entree was Fettuccine with Sicilian “violetti” Artichokes and ground lamb. I can’t say enough about this delicious food. I wish I could give it a 10!

Dear, if you are looking for a classic restaurant mainly with fish cuisine, go there without worry, you will not have any surprises.

Splendid atmosphere for an October day. An appetizer of raw seafood and a fish dish with potatoes… all very fresh and with excellent flavours. The price was slightly higher than I expected.

03/03/2024: E’ sempre un ottima scelta il Bacaro: si mangia benissimo con una grande scelta fra i tipici cicchetti gustosissimi, ai fritti fino alle portate di pesce. Assolutamente consigliato
04/01/2024: Dopo aver letto recensioni abbiamo provato questo locale per un aperitivo Da fuori l aspettativa era di un classico Bacaro all interno invece locale moderno con arredamento che non mi ha trasmesso quel sentore di rusticità che mi aspettavo C’è da dire che il banco...
