Al Grappolo d'Uva In Taormina

Good atmosphere in one of the small streets of Taormina, we are seated at the small tables in the street, good cocktails, good boards, nice for an aperitif!

Very good surprise. Nice setting, good food and very warm welcome.

Perfect place for an evening wine :)!

We stopped by for a wine tasting in the afternoon, consisting of 3 whites and 3 reds and antipasti for 50 euros. The wines were very good and a couple of them were great. It was a good choice of wines from the region. Pours were sufficient (100 ml), but not much explanation because our server didn’t speak much English (he was originally from Bangladesh). The antipasti was O.K. but we thought lacking in quality. The crostini served was probably a few days old. The cheese served was also pretty tasteless, but we’ve found the cheese in Sicily pretty flavorless in general. All in all we enjoyed our tasting here and would recommend it for the wine alone, but not the antipasti.

I think it's a great place to have a wine and even accompany it with a good Italian cold cuts board. We did it that way, and the truth is that we liked it a lot. Especially white wine from Etna. That's a very small place, where large groups have a difficult time.

Lovely spot away from the crowds for wine by the glass. The range is great. Whilst I was there I had red wine from mount etna, was lovely. Great service and they serve snacks too.

Quaint little wine bar with a good selection of local wines. The small dishes on offer are not bad.
