A small, mostly quiet, somewhat hidden Venetian café, which is ideal for a relaxing espresso, cappuccino or to fill a small to medium-sized hunger hole. We regularly had breakfast here and were very satisfied with the panini, focaccia and tramezzini on offer.
Went here based on a recommendation from our travel guide. The restaurant's best days are behind it. Everything was very careless, toilets weren't clean or lockable.
Fruit flies swam in the wine. The carpaccio was okay, the squid had to be brought from another restaurant and was very tough after grilling. The spaghetti Bolognese was dripping with fat and the minced meat was not a fine ragout but was distributed in lumps throughout the dish.
If you have to pay close attention to your budget, you can eat cheaply here. Everyone else was advised to use other restaurants.
Chanced upon this great bar this evening and had a couple of drinks whilst we chatted with the locals. Would definitely recommend this cafe and I hope to return to enjoy another (highly recommended) Select spritz
Très bonne adresse si vous vous êtes perdus dans Venise ! Endroit improbable où l’on mange merveilleusement bien cuisiner maison ! Je vous le recommande vivement !
We had been in Italy for 3 weeks and feel this is the best food we had. It is small, personal, and reasonably priced. We were staying in the neighborhood so easy to find. Otherwise it is about a 15 minute walk from St Mark’s square. On the weekends we strongly suggest a reservation.
