Typical Sienese Tavern, even if a stone's throw from the cathedral, it maintains its local identity. Excellent food, we tasted the various ragùs and typical appetizers. The house Chianti is already excellent, they also have other wine selections. Impeccable and friendly service from all staff members. Excellent quality/price.

Maybe one of the restaurants where you can eat better, full-bodied tasty dishes, things that nowadays you struggle to find because they're too greasy, too fatty, blah, blah, blah. (When I go to eat I want to eat otherwise I'll stay at home and eat a rice cake) Really good (Borghese was right).
I will definitely return.

Good evening Nicolò, I just saw Borghese's program and I immediately supported the Taverna del Capitano. I also have a business and for me friendliness always comes first and then everything else must be impeccable. When I come to Siena I will definitely come there.

My wife and I had dinner in this typical Sienese tavern a stone's throw from the cathedral, we had pici alla nana, pappardelle with hare and ossobuco alla Sienese, all spectacular!
We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

Very good restaurant, very well located near the Duomo. Restaurant steeped in history through its setting and decoration. The servers and owners were very kind and welcoming. Excellent, pleasant and fast service.
Menu with little choice but typical and traditional Siena cuisine with exceptional products.
The tagliatelle was succulent.
Affordable price for the quality of the dishes and the service. I highly recommend if you are visiting Siena.
