Tonight we tried one of the oldest places in Lucca, LA CANTINA DI CARIGNANO. The place appears warm and welcoming the furnishings such as the piano, the beamed ceiling and the chandeliers made from wagon wheels create a style that blends between old style and country. The staff is quick but a bit resolute. Good food with traditional cuisine and home-made dishes. The mise en place is good.

Sunday 11/26/23 we had lunch at this place. Attentive and fast service, we tried the spelled soup and parmigiana as first courses and scaaloppine and roast viella as socondp: normal dishes, all good. Nice and pleasant environment. we'll be back

Ci abbiamo sempre mangiato molto bene. Lasagne top. Spaghetti allo scoglio buonissimi. Fritto di mare ottimo Ambiente semplice con menù pranzo a prezzo fisso con buona scelta e di qualità. Consigliato

Wat een verrassend leuk zaakje. Ligt beetje achteraf, aan een doorgaande weg. Zeer vriendelijke service en echt ontzettend lekker gegeten. Voor een zeer schappelijke prijs. Enige puntje was dat echt iedereen om ons heen zat te roken. Beetje pech dus. Kan het restaurant ook niets aan doen, maar wij ook niet. Aanrader!
