We went to Antica Trattoria San Giovanni for Easter Monday lunch and returned again during our stay in Piana; the quality and freshness of the products, combined with Carlo's mastery in the kitchen and Adriana's kindness and preparation, won us over! The tagliatelle with pistachio pesto are exceptional! We had a great time and can't wait to return 😊 Dorjan & Megi

On Easter Sunday the manager of the restaurant did not want to leave anyone with an empty stomach, bending over backwards to accommodate everyone. We found ourselves in front of a sumptuous lunch with every type of local delicacy, from the caponata to the pistachio pesto that seasoned the tagliolini to the inevitable cannoli. All washed down with an excellent bottle of Syrah. Highly recommended!!

A friend recommended it to us and although we had to deviate from our route a little, it was worth it. Very good pasta with anchovies (we repeat) and also the Stinco de Maiale (pork knuckle), as an appetizer for the caponata. We will be back

Very good food, cooked well and of good quality although I found the bruschetta with lard a little salty (but these are personal tastes). The place is very nice and has been renovated. Clean bathrooms. Unfortunately the service is not particularly attentive to customers... furthermore the first courses arrived while we were still finishing eating the starter. A feat to be able to call a waiter.

Proprietari gentili, ristorante pulito e ottima cucina, merita una fermata se andate a Piana degli Albanesi. Consiglio la bistecca alla palermitana e le patate al forno.

Un'esperienza semplicemente meravigliosa, dall'eccellente qualità del cibo all'accoglienza familiare in un ambiente molto piacevole. Abbiamo mangiato qui con un gruppo di amici che amano la buona cucina e che hanno girato la Sicilia provando diversi ristoranti. La nostra e la loro opinione è stata chiara: "Non abbiamo mai mangiato così bene come qui in tutto il nostro viaggio!". Siamo stati davvero viziati, abbiamo mangiato piatti tradizionali con prodotti locali di alta qualità che hanno ancora sapori veri, e anche i vini sono molto buoni. I proprietari sono simpaticissimi, molto attenti ad ogni singolo cliente e ci hanno fatto subito sentire a casa. Per noi è stato un momento che non dimenticheremo mai, direi "benessere per il corpo e per l'anima"! Torneremo sicuramente!

Trattoria a conduzione familiare, pietanze ottime a base di carne principalmente. Consiglio il tagliere di salumi e formaggi e il misto di carne arrostita! Morbida e saporita. Personale squisito, accogliente e molto gentile. Ottimo posto per cenare.

Ci sono luoghi dove il tempo sembra fermarsi per lasciare spazio ai sensi, e sebbene tu possa ricordare profumi, sapori e colori... tornare è sempre sorprendersi... Non posso che essere grato ad Adriana e Carlo che con la loro arte culinaria non smettono mai di sorprendermi e regalarmi un momento di gioia. Grazie!!!
