Bar Pasticceria Maria Vittoria In Assisi

I’m surprised by some of the poor reviews. My wife and I stopped by for lunch and had two very good pasta dishes and the prices were reasonable, particularly for a small restaurant on a busy street on the way to the Basilica. The proprietor was friendly and helpful. We also had an excellent glass of wine.

I looked for a non-commercial and touristy place, from the outside it looks like a bar in the country... Exact and local like being with a friend, you are welcomed with a smile, spoil wine and drinks for the kids, and then move on to platters with cold cuts and cheeses.. bruschetta and then desserts, all in the company of Vittoria, a WOMAN with so much experience and wisdom, with her words she makes you happy and content and sometimes she managed to excite us too. Thanks we will be back

Wonderful experience made with my partner, who by "chance" found ourselves in this little place in the heart of Assisi. What to say? Mrs Vittoria, so dear and sweet, took us by the hand through the Umbrian gastronomy, making us try the typical specialties at truly competitive costs and with amazing flavours! At the moment, the best torte al testo was eaten here, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and decidedly tastier than others I've tried around. If you are in Assisi and want to eat well, this place is for you!
