In my opinion, the environment is very nice, the peasant furnishings scattered throughout the restaurant are beautiful, the owner makes you feel at home as do the dishes they offer. Cook like at my mother's house.... what more could you want.

I have been going to this restaurant for more than 20 years now and at least a couple of times a year it is a must for me to stop by. Homely atmosphere, genuine peasant flavours, honesty and friendliness of the owner, kindness of the staff are their main ingredients. What can I say: "Thank you Andrea, see you next time!"

Excellent restaurant with truly excellent pumpkin first courses, such as somarino and salamina, prepared and always available staff. Compliments to the managers. Highly recommended

L'antico giardino

11/12/2023: Il locale è sicuramente datato e da rivedere nello stile, anche un po’ freddo. L’oste è accogliente ed educato ma questo purtroppo non basta. La cucina è stanca. Il primo piatto era freddo. La cotoletta poco croccante e inoltre il tartufo bianco non viene affettato in tavola (imperdonabile). Il gelato mantecato all’aceto balsamico è arrivato poco mantecato e con l’aceto versato in cima. Ho dato tre stelle perché immagino sia un ristorante “storico” e mi dispiaceva dare meno ma non ci tornerò .
24/09/2023: Eravamo in centro a Ferrara e nel cercare un posto dove pranzare abbiamo notato questo ristorante, lette le recensioni non abbiamo avuto dubbi , telefonato e per fortuna la fortuna ha voluto che ci fosse posto visto che era già mezzogiorno...posto impeccabile quanto il suo personale , gentile , sorridente ...il cibo tutto buonissimo..materie prime di qualità... assolutamente da ritornare se ci dovessimo trovare di passaggio

29/03/2024: Good but... Passing through for an aperitif, the staff welcomed me very politely. The interior of the place is relatively small but tastefully furnished. Outside there is a large terrace with the beautiful backdrop of Porta Paola: here you honestly get confused because the arrangement of the tables is not very good and it is not clear which is the entrance to the place. The service was impeccable despite the pressure of rush hour. What I didn't like was the constant frenetic running of the staff: they couldn't keep up with the orders and this didn't contribute to improving the atmosphere of the place. No
