Ca' del Frate In Zoagli

Our experience at Trattoria Ca' del Frate during Christmas Day lunch was an immersion in taste and beauty that will remain etched in our memories. We felt like we were reliving the pomp of Trimalchio's banquet. Excellent homemade pasta, prepared with care and skill by the restaurant's kitchen. The creaminess of the walnut sauce or fresh pesto combined perfectly with the delicacy of the pasta, creating a combination of flavors that left us speechless. Grilled fish and meat at will. Every bite was an explosion of fresh and genuine flavours. The courteous and attentive staff (not a given in Liguria) made our lunch even more pleasant. The breathtaking view of Portofino completed the experience in an unforgettable way. Unbeatable quality/price ratio. We highly recommend stopping here to anyone who wants to savor the true flavors of Ligurian cuisine, all in a welcoming and evocative environment.

Excellent simple but tasty cuisine, the best way to enjoy fresh fish. The veranda, despite being winter, was heated by a mushroom stove, the price is not excessive depending on the dishes and the wine. Personally I would have preferred a wine glass to fully savor my choice but perhaps you want to maintain the trattoria style with the "gotti" from the tavern... in any case they deserve top marks for the simplicity of the dishes which bring out the true flavor some fish. For the meat we will do the next round.

Allora, armatevi di pazienza e da Zoagli salite in direzione Sant'Ambrogio, superate la frazione San Pantaleo e dalle parti del cartello che indica il ristorante lasciate la macchina dove potete, fate i 100 metri di crosa a piedi e arrivate a questo ristorante che è situato in una antica fattoria, con una bellissima piccola sala all'interno al piano superiore, una veranda ombreggiata sotto una vite e una rotonda belvedere coperta dove si può stare credo 12 mesi all'anno. Vista pazzesca che ovviamente godrete meglio a pranzo o nelle sere estive di luce. Specialisti della brace, hanno antipasti di pesce, primi tipici Liguri buonissimi e secondi di carne e di pesce principalmente alla brace e quindi leggerissimi è assolutamente non grassi, anzi due amici su quattro della compagnia erano a dieta e si sono trovati comunque benissimo. I prodotti provengono principalmente da fornitori locali, e la cantina ci sembra ben fornita, anche se abbiamo preso mezzo litro della casa sorprendentemente buono. Professionalità e cortesia del responsabile della sala, che credo sia uno dei titolari, cuoco eccezionale. Rapporto qualità prezzo assolutamente adeguato. Se siete nel raggio di almeno mezz'ora di macchina ed è aperto e c'è posto, meglio prenotare se possibile per tempo, non perdetevelo.
