Caffe' Capitolino In Roma

Very nice little café and reasonable price (€1.50 for an espresso), you have to help yourself at the bar. Don’t forget to check out the terrace which overlooks the heights of Rome.

Easter on the Caffarilli Terrace was a very good choice: a non-crowded place for those of us who had lunch, the tourists were many but discreet, the view was splendid and the food (already tried other times) satisfied everyone. We were in a family with relatives aged from 92 to 20 years old and they managed to satisfy everyone's tastes. Also very pleasant background music and efficient and very friendly service. Thanks to Maurizio and his very helpful colleague, for allowing us to spend a pleasant Easter with the family. I would add that, having been there other times, I also recommend the Terrace for a romantic or very relaxing aperitif.

The prices are normal for what Rome is like and the staff is fast and friendly. We ordered two coffees, a tiramisu and a cannoli. Everything was very good, including the coffee, but the tiramisu stands out, which was delicious. The best, the views of Rome from the terrace. Nice place. Capitoline Museums café. Inside the environment does not shine for cleanliness. Aside from the unclean tables, pigeons often fly into the room. The waiters who try to scare them make noise, but are not very successful. The panoramic terrace is worth a visit, but the outdoor area of ​​the café itself is an iron and glass chest of drawers that disfigures the landscape.

A hidden gem which is great for the view! The food is decent but the ambience is a reason to return.

Location eccellente scoperta in occasione di un matrimonio in Campidoglio. Aperipranzo ottimo, ben assortito, squisite le trofie con spigola e limone. Panorama su tutta Roma incluso nel prezzo.

On the second floor of the Palazzo dei Conservatori, the building on the right as you enter the Capitoline Museum's central piazza, there's a self-service cafeteria but also a full-service open-air (covered roof) ristorante in an adjoining pavilion where we enjoyed a splendid lunch with the added bonus of an adjacent belvedere offering a jaw-dropping panoramic view over Roman rooftops in the direction of the Vatican. According to Rick Steves, the cafeteria and restaurant have an exterior entrance, so you don't have to purchase a ticket to the museum to access either.
