To have an aperitif in the center of Lucca, best place to do it, tasty platter to enjoy with excellent spritzes or something else, Giovanni is the best piece of Lucca, friendly and helpful, I highly recommend him (your dog is always welcome)

About 25 meters inside of Porto San Pietro you will find this unassuming caffe. They have a very good beer selection, a good wine selection, and can create all of the typical/standard mixed drinks. The waitstaff was excellent, and the pizza we ordered was delicious. We ended up ordering only one pizza because the snacks that accompanied our drink order was a meal in itself. With a beer, a glass of wine and a bottle of water came a small wooden tray with nine small panini, a basket of chips/crisps, and a small bowl of salted peanuts. If you are looking for a hearty aperitivo, this is the place!

I love this place!!!! We often pass by when we are in the center area and it remains one of the best places to have an aperitif, you are in the historic center and in any case there are humane prices and a nice platter!!! Truly recommended!!✨

Ci siamo fermati durante il Lucca Comics. Affollatissimo, personale cortese. Servizio in difficoltà ma impossibile altrimenti vista la mole di gente da servire. Piatti mediocri. Prezzi nella media

For an aperitif, very nice place. Quiet street, pleasant terrace. And when you have a cocktail, they offer an aperitif board of small Italian specialties, a huge basket of chips and peanuts. I saw appetizing and well-dressed salads passing by. As well as their focaccia sandwiches which looked nice. Cocktails at €7.

Bistrot La Dolce Vita

15/02/2024: Bel posto, molto curato e elegante. Porzioni abbondanti e buonissime (abbiamo preso le tagliatelle verdi al salmone, una frittura mista di pesce e una grigliata mista di pesce). Purtroppo però l'attesa piuttosto lunga (circa 40 minuti) per prendere l'ordine, con la giustificazione della titolare che "la cucina era ingolfata e quindi ci ha fatto attendere di proposito" ha rovinato l'ottima impressione iniziale. Suggerirei di curare meglio il rapporto col cliente perchè in quel momento ci si sente abbandonati. In ogni caso ne vale assolutamente la pena poichè i gestori sono molto cordiali e la cucina è di qualità superiore. Non do 5 stelle perchè il conto (due primi, due secondi, due dolci e caffè; un vino da 20 euro) di 125 euro totali ci è sembrato leggermente sopra la media.
02/11/2023: As always I only comment on excellence or failure. In this bistrot I ate well, very well. 4 courses- 3 x sea food + desert. The plates are not complicated but add always something special. Right value for money. Worth coming back.
