Del tutto giustificata la lunga fila per assicurarsi le specialità di questo forno in pieno centro storico, un’istituzione cittadina, come è evidente dalla presenza di gente del posto (...sempre una garanzia!), che spezza l’attesa con la tipica e rustica convivialità toscana. E arrivati al traguardo il risultato è davvero impagabile: la focaccia è semplicemente sontuosa, sia semplice che ripiena con stracchino e prosciutto crudo: morbidissima e piacevolmente saporita, leggermente croccante in superficie ed irresistibile al morso! Una goduria!!! Da non perdere anche il pane di farina di mais, magari ripieno con del buon salame!
I stumbled upon Forno Francesco Casali during my visit to the enchanting town of Lucca and it was an experience like no other. Undoubtedly, it serves the best focaccia I’ve ever tasted! The combination of Conte Ham with ricotta cream cheese and herbs was heavenly.
The charm of the place doesn’t stop at the food. I was assisted by the friendliest ladies who, despite our language barriers, made the experience delightful with sign language, laughter, and genuine Tuscan warmth.
Yes, there was a queue, and while it may look daunting at first glance, I assure you, every minute waited is rewarded tenfold once you bite into that glorious focaccia.

Buona accoglienza e disponibilità del personale.
Antipasto di pesce fritto gradevole (ma un po' salato), ottimo primo con pasta fresca al caffè e scampi ombrina con verdurine croccanti e. per finire, uno strepitoso sorbetto al limone con crema di basilico.
21/07/2023: Preisleistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Wir waren zwei Mal da, einmal am Fischabend. Dieser war exzellent. Fisch in Salzkruste am Tisch filetiert.
