Castroni is one of the cornerstones of Roman life. Everything you might need that is particular or typical of other cultures and other countries can be found here. We recommend it for the wide selection they have of honey, jams, teas and herbal teas, confectionery and colonial goods. Their colonial goods emporium located in such a central and famous street, in the heart of the city, is a real treasure-trove of gifts. Then there is their coffee, roasted and blended in their own premises and sold by weight as well as sugared almonds and liquorice, candies and chocolates. But also recommended is their own coffee corner/bar which has a selection, although rather classic and limited, of excellent croissants and sandwiches and ice creams, all homemade. However, the prices are not those of supermarkets and buying some sweets or snacks could cost more than average. They also have an entire aisle of gluten-free and sugar-free products. Highly recommended.
