Beautiful restaurant in Como, by the water. Great location for lunch or dinner, in our case we went in for dinner and we were amazed by how good the food was(fantastic) Our drive from Milan to Como for dinner was absolutely worthy it for the amazing experience we had here. Desserts options were great but unfortunately they didn’t have anything appealing for dairy intolerants besides fruits… They have great and wide wine list for the wine lovers. I look forward to visiting during the summer. must be charming.

I give it 5 stars because it is truly a beautiful and welcoming place with staff who take great care of the stay inside, rewarding high-quality customers with a thousand attentions. excellent tagliolini with truffle and white wine ordered, the goose liver wasn't the best, but since it's not a typical product I'll give it that as the only flaw, the guinea fowl and the dessert are fantastic. Well done

Excellent culinary experience right in front of the lake, excellent service and truly fantastic quality of food which together with the location will make the evening unforgettable. I would happily return, high price but justified by the splendid view and the quality of food and service.

Il Crotto dei Platani fa dell’equilibrio la sua eccellenza. La cucina è centrale con uno chef che lavora bene intorno a materie prime semplici come può essere il pesce di acqua dolce sfruttando erbe e salse per insaporire senza però perdere la traccia dell’originale. Su questa base si sviluppa un servizio attento ed educato, arricchito da impiattamenti notevoli e una vista sul lago da urlo. L’equilibrio la fa da padrone tra prezzo qualità e quantità.

Il ristorante meriterebbe di essere provato anche solo per la location che offre. Quasi per intero panoramico sul lago, è sicuramente un posto che terrò a mente per stupire i miei clienti ed amici migliori. E' il classico ristorante di categoria quindi vi consiglio sia di prenotare sia di vestirvi adeguatamente. Si trova sulla strada che porta verso Menaggio, il parcheggio non è grandissimo. Non è un ristorante per tutte le tasce, anzi, ma del resto, come dico sempre, la qualità si paga. Il personale è preparato e disponibile, la cucina mi è sembrata decisamente gradevole ed i piatti si presentano molto bene. Ho apprezzato tutto l'arredamento e il clima natalizio misto elegante che viene profuso. Unica pecca, in sottofondo non avrei messo musica a caso ma data la situazione, una bossa nova o un solo piano, avrebbe certamente dato un effetto migliore. Vi consiglio questo ristorante sicuramente per una cena romantica o per una cena elegante.
