03/04/2024: Very nice room, excellent location if you travel by train, elegant structure. The review is not superlative because, especially in Italy, it is easy to put first-rate prices, but adapting the standard is a different matter, we must always be understanding on that... I needed to have an early dinner so I asked for a reservation in the hotel's restaurant but the reservation had not been received. So the waiting began and I bounced between the restaurant and the reception, making fun of me: one told me I had booked and the other didn't, one that I had to wait and the other that the table was ready. After half an hour they made me sit at the table and then confided in me that I would have had to wait who knows how long anyway because the kitchen was full of orders. Conclusion? I ate at KFC. If I had been in another place or if I hadn't been in a hurry... but with a specific need that leads me to choose a hotel like the Excelsior, let's say that I don't like being made fun of and left without dinner. It would never have happened elsewhere! That same evening several people abandoned the idea of ​​booking at the restaurant once they witnessed my experience.
