Da Amedeo In Castro

We came across it by chance, during a walk back to the car we found Amedeo's and we decided to stop, We were immediately seated by the super friendly chef who showed us the fresh fish and helped us with the choice and I must say everything was super delicious, good and so on and so forth. The fish starter is beautiful to look at and is good, very good The first is this pasta in a tomato fish soup, again nothing to say, fantastic and then the second is baked fish but not as simple as I imagined, this one is also full of colours, taste And finally the dessert Really delicious Thank you

Near the Aragonese castle, in the historic center, pleasant environment, dominated by white, consisting of a bar, room for about 50 seats, and equipped garden behind with pergola for the summer heat, the menu naturally talks about the sea, always fresh fish, but if necessary the chef is next to you to satisfy every kind of request, staff very attentive to customers, so all you have to do is go and sit at the table, an appointment is required.

After a brisk (but hot) walk up into the Centro Storico of Castro, it was nice to find a quiet restaurant up a side street with a lovely back garden patio and frequented by locals. Nice seafood menu, and a good wine list. A lovely lunch followed, including Polpo griglato, Orecchiette di Grano Arso, cicchioria, all well prepared. Plus some lovely local Verdeca. Friendly, attentive service. Prices seemed a bit high, but not unreasonable given the food quality and the service, and likely comparable to others in Castro. Worth finding if you're in Castro.

Good but really expensive for what it is - starter/primi plati/glass of wine for 2 people 100e

We found ourselves in this restaurant by chance and enjoyed a delicious first course. The waitress, I assume the owner of the place, asked us for an opinion on the dish which was undoubtedly positive. Subsequently, we decide to have a dessert: puff pastry with ricotta and berries. When tasting it, it was softened to say the least: a product that was definitely frozen and poorly defrosted in the microwave. In this case, the waitress was no longer interested in our opinion, in fact, seeing that the dessert was all left there, she didn't come over to ask if everything was okay. The woman, certainly in the profession, preferred to pretend nothing had happened, even including dessert. How sad to lose customers for just €6 worth of dessert!

Locale molto bello e curato con uno splendido giardino la nota dolente sono i prezzi alti rapportati alle porzioni che vengono servite. Per fortuna la qualità è buona.

Amazing restaurant we found in storico Castro. Maria and staff did the very best to make us feel welcome. The seafood salad and anchovies were the best even after being a week in Roma and Napoli. The garden was a respite from the heat.
