Excellent restaurant at an unobtainable price! We ate a lot and well with an excellent variety of numerous starters, three first courses and three second courses with side dishes! To finish, dessert and coffee for only 23 euros each!

It's the coolest restaurant there is. And we eat well too. I have never tasted better tortelli. If there is, ask for the "Certosino" as a digestive. Trust me

The place is a bit spartan and retro but the family atmosphere makes up for the decor. The welcome from Mr. Mariano is excellent, very friendly and jovial. The dishes are truly excellent and the portions are generous. The appetizer consists of delicious cold cuts accompanied by panzerotti fried very well and therefore light like fried chicken, crunchy and not at all greasy. We discovered it by pure chance but we will definitely be back. The prices are really popular. You eat very well and spend little. Mariano explained to us that the dishes he serves in the restaurant come from his farm and therefore are genuine, zero-mile products. At the end of the meal he offered us a herbal liqueur that he produces himself following an ancient recipe taken from the friars of the nearby Certosa. Thanks for your hospitality and see you soon.

Mariano non può essere recensito!! Come già detto in recensioni precedenti... Mariano è over... volete sapere perché???... location superspartana!!, l apparecchiatura era sicuramente meglio ai pranzi della nonna... bicchieri diversi , piatti diversi, sedie diverse, tavoli anni 70 . il classico posto che quando entri pensi.. rimango o vado via???? Ma se restate , nn ve ne pentirete!! buon cibo casalingo nella quantità che voi vogliate a ottimo prezzo e con la solita simpatia di Mariano e del suo staff!!!! Trattoria d altri tempi!!!!!

The place is nice and very atmospheric, the food is good and the portions are large. The only problem is service, that is the waiting time. Value for money and perfect, I have nothing else to add Well done 👏

Cenone ultimo dell'anno, sale al completo, cibo perfetto, servizio perfetto, spesa ottima. Ci tornerò in estate x cenare fuori e godermi lo scenario del litoriale viareggino.😉

Ristorante trattoria, ambiente un po' retrò ma servizio cortesia e cibo top! Prezzo fisso superconveniente (antipasto, un primo, un secondo, un dolce, acqua, vino della casa, caffè 23euro). Ottimo il fritto misto e il cinghiale.

01/04/2024: We come from Rome and my wife and I decide to quickly visit Lucca, take a walk in the center (inside the walls) and maybe have a bite to eat in a typical restaurant. My wife visits this tavern, practically at the beginning of the course, and we decide to have dinner there, perhaps with a first course and a side dish. As soon as we entered we were greeted by the very kind waitress who explained the various dishes to us in detail. We also know the two owners Piero and Francesca, brother and sister who together with their very nice family manage this truly pleasant place. After a pleasant chat I decide to have some typical tortelli with meat and vegetables obviously homemade which literally made me clean my plate!! Traditional recipe but reworked by the same restaurateur in a perfect way… Also absolutely worth trying are the "popped beans", a simple side dish but always revisited in a "mother's recipe" way. Absolutely logical prices and high quality. If we were to do it again we wouldn't think twice about returning also for the hospitality and kindness of this beautiful family. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
30/12/2023: Locale con vista sulle mura della citta' , dotato di ampio dehor esterno. Personale efficiente e cortese. Cucina lucchese ottima. Prezzi nella media.

27/03/2024: I must say unfortunately I was only there one evening. Evening fish-based menu. Excellent. Fresh fried anchovies and very dry breading. Fantastic. Seafood carbonara without words, just to taste. Everything fresh, balanced and perfectly cooked. 10 and praise. I hope to be able to return soon. Highly recommended.
