Domus Paradisi In Cigognola

An excellent Sunday lunch experience, for food, service and ambiance. The owner made sure everything was perfect, repeatedly offering us encores of the most popular dishes. They were also super helpful in preparing vegan dishes for a member of our group that we had forgotten to announce. Not only was nothing missing, but everything was delicious!

Mr. Tino welcomed us with whom a pleasant dialogue was established and to whom we extend our thanks for wanting to share a small part of his life. The environment where we had lunch, already decorated for Christmas, is really pleasant and welcoming... the food was excellent (in truth a real anticipation of Christmas lunch). Satisfied and happy we promised ourselves we would return. Goodbye Mr.Tino (hopefully soon!)...🤗

Historic villa, beautiful garden of 4000 square meters with many varieties of plants grown by the owner, a friendly gentleman who, if requested, gives explanations on the various cultivars..... Excellent food, impeccable service, a refined environment that makes you feel at home

Arrivati alle 18.00 per una visita alla cantina siamo stati accolti dal sig.Tino come fossimo parte della sua famiglia, con quel calore umano che mette subito a proprio agio. Siamo stati veramente fortunati ad imbatterci in questa straordinaria persona che ci ha aperto e fatto scoprire i tesori che custodisce nei suoi locali. Il tutto condito da una cultura personale che non passa inosservata. Ci siamo fatti una promessa di ritornare a pranzo così da poter incontrare nuovamente il sig.Tino.

Domus Paradisi non delude mai. Sono stata qui due volte, ho sempre trovato una cucina ricercata ma allo stesso tempo ancorata alla tradizione. Il menù degustazione è abbondante e raccontato con poesia dal proprietario, di una gentilezza d'altri tempi. Più che una semplice cena, è un' esperienza, soprattutto se arrivate con il sole e potete visitare il giardino.

Evening spent with friends at Domus Paradisi. The owner, Mr., welcomed us and accompanied us to dinner. Tino, discreet and professional, explains each course in detail. Excellent food, with well-crafted presentation of the dishes and very good seasonal ingredients. Overall everything was perfect, recommended, we will be back soon.

Great expectations after the sumptuous (a little unpleasant) explanation of the dishes and products by the owner, disappointment when I tried them: the pumpkin and porcini risotto too sticky, the roast very dry, now I don't know if it depends on a particular recipe from Pavia , but in Piedmont the roast is served moist, with a sauce, here I even struggled to swallow it (I had to add a drizzle of oil). The cake, another workhorse, triple layer: shortcrust pastry, puff pastry and sponge cake, practically non-existent filling, seemed to have been made for days, dry and hard. Also included in the tasting menu are 3 bottles of wine, a sparkling white as an opening and 2 reds to accompany the meal, an unopened cabernet and a 2016 Nebbiolo I believe, with the presence of residue on the bottom... the top. On the other hand, a very nice location surrounded by greenery and friendly and punctual staff. Too bad.... I was hoping for more.
