05/04/2024: In the central Corso Italia of Catania, along a small alley, you arrive at the TigellaBella tigelleria. I want to start with what immediately strikes the patrons, namely a beautiful room, open kitchen, and a wonderful group of guys managing this beautiful place. Very polite, attentive and never intrusive guys, in the dining room and in the kitchen. We have returned several times, and each time pampered by an attentive Ana who, with patience and a lot of kindness, advises us on what to order. Here, now let's move on to food. Super generous platters, the menu says for two people but they are easily enough (and leftover) for three, always different and always very high quality cured meats, fries, au gratin vegetables, cheeses... all excellent. And then they appear, the fried tigelle and gnocchi served continuously, always hot and always good, in a riot of savory and sweet sauces, and specifically six assorted savory ones and six sweet ones. Separate mention for the beers, we tried both the red and the blonde ones which were really excellent, but we didn't try the wines but the cellar is really well stocked. A piece of advice, go to TigellaBella to spend an evening full of good food, joy and the friendliness of the owners. Super, super recommended.
