Fojedöra In Marebbe

This is an excellent spot for anyone who likes hiking. It's a 2:30 hrs hike from Hotel Lago di Braies (600 m. ascend). This farm/mountain hut serves drinks and food, all locally made. They bake fresh bread in an outside oven, which smells lovely Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. From the hut you can hike back to Lago di Braies within 2 hrs or make a longer tour (3 hrs) around the Spitzkofel back to the lake. Either way, definitely worth the hike.

What can I say... after a challenging walk from the lake we arrive here... we were breathless both from the effort and from the beauty and tranquility of the place. The food was delicious, the service very kind. Nice nice nice!

Family-run mountain hut about 2 hours' walk from Lake Braies. It can be reached via clear indications via path 19. Sandwich with speck and cheese €8, potatoes speck and eggs €14, homemade dessert €5. Clean, large and comfortable bathrooms.

Fantastically located hut, delicious food, friendly service and an environment like in a fairy tale. Free-roaming animals on the mountain pastures...a very special experience. We'll definitely be back 😊🫶

Si raggiunge a piedi partendo dal famoso lago di Braies. Bella passeggiata nei boschi e arrivo alla malga in un ambiente bucolico idilliaco. Purtroppo siamo arrivati avendo già mangiato, quindi abbiamo potuto soltanto bere qualcosa e assaggiare l’ottimo latte crudo. Il menu e’ davvero molto interessante e composto di soli piatti tradizionali. Ho già in programma di tornare il prossimo anno.

Malfa is beautiful, you can eat very well, it's so hard to get there from the lake but it's worth it

08/09/23 Climbed from San Vigilio by e-bike, the climb is quite challenging, then you arrive and find the real mountain refuge, excellent and genuine food, the mountain hut is enchanting, very wild as it should be, the animals circulate undisturbed The managers are kind and friendly. Place for true mountain lovers, spectacular view!!!!🥰

Fantastic hütte, great food and most beautiful views. Definately recommended to walk the hochalmroute and visit Fojedöra!

Malga immersa nel verde a 2.115 metri di altitudine dove è possibile gustare ottimi piatti e genuini. I prodotti (latte, formaggi, uova, speck) sono di loro produzione. Bagni puliti e possibilità di riempire gratuitamente la borraccia con acqua di montagna. La dura camminata dal lago (tempo 1h 30' dislivello circa 600 m) ne è valsa assolutamente la pena. Lo consiglio vivamente per chi vuole godersi una pò di pace.

Mainly Austrian cuisine - we had amazing Käsespätzle, fried potatoes with eggs and speck, and a superb cheesecake (Topfenstrudel).
