After our trip to Montan, we went to the Gsteigerhof Essen and were thrilled by the ambience and the friendly service. The food was super delicious!

Typical restaurant in a centenary building built in 1591. You can also eat outside during the summer. Next to the restaurant there is a hut with direct sales of apples, potatoes and other fruits and vegetables.

Passare qui é come tornare a casa. Il saluto caloroso dei proprietari, il profumo della cannella sulle frittelle delle loro mele. La signora anziana fra le casse di mele, pere, patate, cavoli cappucci.... Sorridente e cordiale. É il vero maso tirolese, con un menù schietto e genuino, un servizio casalingo, una pulizia perfetta, immerso fra frutteti e antiche mura. Sono fiera di far parte di questa famiglia!

Very friendly service. The food (homemade Schlutzer and Kaiserschmarrn) was excellent. The house wine is also cheap and recommended. All in all a great location.

Der Gsteigerhof war kulinarisch unser Lieblingsort in Montan 🥰 Man sitzt sehr schön zwischen Apfelplantagen und überzeugt (leider nur am Wochenende) mit super freundlichem Service, leckerem Wein und überragendem Essen, welches komplett selbst zubereitet und gekocht wird! Es ist nur zu empfehlen! 😍
