5 star experience. Baccano is the place to be in San Gimignano if you are looking for a proper Toscan hospitality and welcoming experience. Superb food at a family run restaurant with top quality and very adjusted prices. We were the last ones to leave the place as we were feeling like at home.

Nice place, good food, knowledge of the variety of wines and their characteristics. Unfortunately the staff smokes in front of the restaurant entrance.

A place with potential, and maybe caught on a bad day.
Food - Maccheroni alla norcina had great taste, but pasta was overcooked. Tagliata di manzo - really nice taste, too many funghi porcini which later overpowered the dish. Bread provided for the table, which was included in the cover fee was terrible, bordering on inedible.
Wine - a limited wine list but both were really pleasant and complemented the dishes well. The waiter, as you may expect for this region had excellent wine knowledge.
Service - bordering on non existent. Not particularly engaging, no follow up, no check how we were - the bare minimum. They were not overly busy, just inattentive

Pizza restaurant in the center of San Gimignano. You can eat anything, even pizza. The place is nice and the service is fast. Tomorrow we'll go back and eat the Florentine steak.

The place is very nice and the staff friendly, the food questionable and very touristy.
Cacio e pepe with cream, Maremma ravioli two in number, questionably homemade pappardelle and red wild boar sauce, slightly overcooked pici....
I would say it was all edible, but I wouldn't go back

Locale molto caratteristico in una viuzza di San Gimignano. Ottima la carne. Primi di pregevole fattura ( pici al tartufo e tagliolini ai porcini). Cantucci a chiudere e budino al cioccolato. Prezzi nella media. Molto buono.

Je ne conseille pas ce restaurant si vous voulez manger une bonne pizza. Je ne peux pas me prononcer sur le reste car nous avons pris que des pizzas mais franchement elles n'était pas terrible. Beaucoup trop de fromage à mon goût.

Arrived early for our booking & shown to our table . We were the only guests so it was lovely & quiet inside . Bread & water arrived the we ordered & asked if we could omit mushrooms which was no problem . Requested a small portion as hate food waste. Food was delicious & still a huge portion of pasta . Hubby had pizza which was a bit over fired as crust was tough to cut but again delicious . Great value & well worth a visit
