Cozy homemade tavern right near the cathedral. It is possible to taste rustic, quality dishes at a good price and then dive into a walk in the historic center of Salerno. If you find yourself in those parts, stop by, you won't regret it

Peculiar place just like the owner Allesandro the brilliant revolutionary!! Fresh seasonal local food prepared with love like at home, the treatment is like being at a friend's house!!
Or an old inn with wooden tables and good homemade wine decanted into thick old glass bottles, with books everywhere, verses and revolutionary poetic quotes on the walls as decoration, I recommend it, this one next to the Duomo in Salerno

An authentic and delicious experience at Osteria Il Brigante. The distinctive food is excellent, the service is friendly and courteous, and the owners are exceptional. A true hidden jewel for lovers of good food and hospitality.

Interesting small restaurant with 8 tables and trestles. Menu of 4 primi and 6 mains
You would want 2 courses and portions small. Mixed crowd. Interesting atmosphere more than good food..food pretty basic
Bizarrely you are only allowed 1 glass so you have to either mix wine and water or drink them alternatively.

Posto molto rustico ma se piace il genere consigliatissimo! Abbiamo speso 10 euro a testa mangiando in abbandonaza, alcuni piatti decisamente ottim (come le sarde, di cui non ricordo il nome locale), altri meno ma comunque ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Ci tornerei per un pasto informale.

Un posto d'altri tempi, dove si mangia una cucina sincera, senza fronzoli (come l'oste), ma buona come quella della mamma.
Abbiamo preso la pasta sangiovannara, molto buona, e le seppie affogate, veramente buone.
Il prezzo poi veramente onesto, anche troppo ...
