Il Bargello In Firenze

11/12/2023: The food here is amazing, the house wine is some of the best I have ever had. The atmosphere is calm and quiet. The staff are very attentive and service is excellent.

27/09/2023: With over 2000 restaurants in Florence it says something that we chose this one three times! Yes, it was close to our AirBNB but, that aside, we just loved the atmosphere, service and food. There is a cute garden out back that, during the rain (and yes, we were part of a sudden downpour) can be covered. As is with most restaurants here, you are generally sitting close to other people but that makes for some interesting conversation. One couple told us that they were instructed to come to this restaurant specifically for the Florentine steak which they proclaimed to be delicious. That is not our thing but the fish and chicken dishes were excellent. They were also able to accomodate my husband who is celiac. The manager, who is from Nepal, is a lovely gentleman, and was our server. She spent just enough time chatting with us. Half bottles of wine are available which was nice as well. Located super close to the Duomo, well priced and well worth it!
