29/03/2024: Nice brasserie: well organized and well furnished spaces. Outside there are many tables both outdoors and on the closed veranda, excellent for days with so-so weather and for the evening.
Efficient and smiling service: fast and professional.
I ate for lunch on a weekday, not very crowded, taking a glass of wine, a glass of water, a first course, a side dish, a strudel and a rum. Total 30 euros round
The side dish of grilled vegetables (see photo), which I took as a starter, was perfect: well cooked, well seasoned, well presented.
The first course was excellent: cuzzi with spicy tomato and pecorino cheese. Really good, both for the cuzzi, which is a type of fresh pasta, traditional from the Rieti area, made with mixed grains and vaguely similar to some varieties of Umbrian strozzapreti. I ate them with great pleasure, both because it is a difficult pasta to find, and because they were well made and well cooked al dente, but above all for the seasoning, very balanced in flavor and spiciness.
For the glass of wine I didn't end up with the usual proposal of "house white or red". I asked for a white and they offered me the choice between 5 labels: I opted for a Traminer, nothing more than discreet, but still with a good quality-cost ratio.
The strudel was so, just enough
Overall, a recommended place: I will definitely go back.
