If you are someone looking for a relaxing and non-touristy environment this is not the place for you. The dishes themselves are good, unfortunately expensive (as elsewhere too), but the service is not the best. The host did not welcome and serve us as if we were his guests, as has happened to us at every other dinner in the Chianti area, but it was a very commercial experience. We only had dinner there because we were staying at the owner's B&B, and we had to remind him at the cash register of the "discount" he had promised us. If you are a person looking for a trendy place, full of people, touristy, with pop-commercial music in the background, willing to spend without paying much attention to the experience itself, then this is the place for you! Shortly after my review the owner contacted me via Whatsapp, I attach the screenshot of the chat. His messages denote the professionalism and intelligence of this gentleman, a skilled salesman, but who has much to improve in terms of courtesy and hospitality towards his customers. However, I invite you to visit Castellina in Chianti, a true pearl of the area. Fortunately we also met humble and pleasant people! P.s. Unbeatable service, incredible food. Diego treated us impressively. Without a doubt, if you want to eat quality, this is the place. We tried quite a few things and quality was 10 and dessert was 10.

Our new favorite spot in Castellina in Chianti! They were so warm and welcoming and the food was delicious! I had the eggplant parmigiana and it was the best I’ve had in Italy. As a group of 6, we also ordered several other dishes and they were all consistently excellent! We will definitely be back!

17/03/2024: Excellent place with friendly and attentive treatment at all times. A wide variety of ice cream flavors available and of great quality. Creamy and with a great flavor. In terms of quality/price it is excellent, a price appropriate to the quality and quantity they give you.

25/10/2023: Me and my husband came here for a wine tasting and we were not disappointed. We got a tour of the fermentation room and were told about the differences with white and rose wine. We were then shown the cellar with a number of large wine barrels. It was followed by a light lunch which involved bruschetta, cured meats and cheese served with white and rose wine and then pasta with meat ragu which was served with 2 different red wines. We were also offered extra pasta when we had finished. We were then served tart and biscuits with dessert wine. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting and we ended up purchasing a bottle of chianti wine to take back to our accomodation. On a side note, it was very much appreciated that there was also a tour group which joined us at the wine tasting and instead of being added to one large table, me and my husband were seated separately at our own table so we could enjoy the experience together instead of being merged into one loud group.
