Obviously the saying "clothes don't make the man" fits perfectly in this case. A long-standing location but as soon as you sit down you understand that you are in the right place... And obviously Cacciucco reigns supreme. Nice we will be back and recommend it! The only downside is the parking...

If I think of CACCIUCCO, I think of "Il Sottomarino" without any doubt!!!! Amazing place, fantastic staff and a cacciucco to lose your mind, very good!!! Guys, go and eat at "The Submarine" you won't regret it!!!

The cacciucco was excellent, truly super. Very friendly waiters, nice atmosphere, restaurant reminiscent of the sea, we will return. Well done!!!

Historic restaurant in Livorno, very rustic and spartan environment, I believe that nothing has ever changed since it was opened until today and in any case in the end it is this aspect that denotes its uniqueness. I went for the cacciucco, so praised by those who advised me to go and eat it here. Honestly, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't a dish to remember for a lifetime either. I appreciated the fact that there was poor fish such as conger eel, but at the same time the quantity of tomato was excessive for my taste, however overall it was a more than eatable dish. The dose is important, the boy in the room said 1.5 kg, and in fact it was hard for two of us but we did it 💪💪, together they brought the fried scagliozzi (fried polenta). To "clean" your mouth, a fried fish without bones and I have to say 10/10, fried very well, crunchy and tasty. Little choice of wines, but what I think is right, in a restaurant like this you drink the house wine which is also good. To finish, lemon sorbet and Livorno-style ponce, I'll open a small parenthesis on the latter, it was good and special but a little cold, when the punch arrives at the table it must have the temperature of lava! Guys in the room, young and smart. I count 100 euros for two. Can we stay there?? Yes, OK! The quantity of cacciucco was large, we took a slightly different bottle of red (wrong in my opinion) plus all added and connected a 50 each, which is not little, but it fits... in any case they didn't bring a menu to table and consequently a price list, perhaps this is a moment to review. One thing that struck me? The presence of a few Livornese... too few 🤔🤔

Location molto accogliente resa speciale sicuramente dall'accoglienza che riserva il proprietario, un simpaticissimo signore anziano che si mette a scherzare con chiunque e oltre a metterti di buon umore ti fa sentire a casa sua. Cibo davvero ottimo, con menzione d'onore per il polpo! Ottimi anche i tagliolini alla livornese. Non ho preso il caciucco ma aveva un'ottimo aspetto (oltre ad essere stra-abbondante). Prezzi nella media. Consigliatissimo.

Siamo andati a mangiare in questo ristorante in centro a Livorno per le recensioni positive ( di massima ) sul cacciucco e in effetti devo dire che non ha tradito le aspettative .. il locale era pieno e comunque hanno fatto del loro meglio per accontentare le persone nei tempi di una domenica con tavoli tutti pieni. Abbiamo preso il cacciucco per due ,buono , una frittura con contorno buona anch’essa , acqua e una birra e abbiamo speso 78. € .Sul prezzo nonostante la qualità , non lo vedo molto economico alla fine .
