Il Torchio In Frascati

I discovered it years ago by chance and was pleasantly surprised and it remains my favourite. A restaurant that amazes every time with the originality and quality of the dishes offered, the courtesy of the staff, the intimate and light atmosphere of the place.

This is certainly a place to visit whenever you're in Frascati. A restaurant where you can enjoy an affordable and excellent meal. Focus on the entrees and the "secondi" and you won't be disappointed. Some doubts on a few of the pasta dishes. Have the manager explain what you're about to eat and drink! Apart from the nice conversation, you'll also learn a few things on the terroirs in Lazio that provide the food and wines. All in all we spent a lovely evening and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It's a small restaurant so don't expect a huge menu. The sweets are interesting and their version of Sacher cake is delicious.

Beautiful Italian osteria in Frascati. Nice and pleasant environment. Friendly and kind staff. We had a lot of expectations about the dishes, but unfortunately on the evening we booked there was a menu (a sort of fusion between Asian and Lazio) that didn't satisfy us. Combinations perhaps too risky and in our opinion unsuccessful. But ok, it's worth experimenting. We did not like the presence of customers' dogs in the room (even large ones), restless and too close to other customers and tables. Even if they had been calm we would not have liked them because it is never the case to eat surrounded by pets or not. Even the dog owners' table was not at all quiet (noisy, they got up often, annoying), but this is beyond the control of the place, while the admission of dogs and other animals should be prohibited in our opinion. Unfortunately, overall it was not a pleasant evening.

If you look for something special, then this is the right place for you. Here, you can find the perfect balance between traditional dishes and slow food research. All the products are coming from the region, including wine (a wide selection available and you can totally trust their advice). Don't worry, prices are really reasonable and you can find what is best for you. Perfect for couples, families, and any special occasions

Posticino tranquillo nel centro di Frascati. D'estate si può mangiare all'aperto, al fresco sotto gli ombrelloni, nella stradina antistante l'ingresso. Pranzandoci una domenica di luglio, ci ho trovato una pace gradevolissima, molto rilassante. Segnalo che di domenica è semplice parcheggiare nei dintorni: c'è tanto spazio disponibile nelle strisce blu nelle strade circostanti. Il cibo è buono, saporito e ben cucinato. Tra gli ingredienti mi pare ci siano parecchi prodotti locali. Il personale è molto gentile, non urla ed disponibilissimo nello spiegare il menù. Nella lista dei vini ci sono etichette di produttori della stessa zona. Il locale è molto semplice, ben arredato, rustico ma non del tutto spartano, praticamente in stile osteria elegante. È stato segnalato nella guida "Osterie d'Italia Slow Food" nel 2022 e nel 2023. Prezzi leggermente più economici della media. Per due antipasti, due primi, un contorno di verdure e due dolci, più acqua (del rubinetto) e un calice di bianco abbiamo speso poco meno di 80 euro. Coperto incluso.

Luogo del cuore a Frascati! Cucina divina, piatti straordinari preparati con ingredienti stagionali e locali, scelti con cura da produttori locali. Tutto, dal pane alla pasta ripiena, viene preparato da mani sapienti con amore e grande perizia. L'ambiente è piccolo e informale, ci si sente coccolati dai proprietari gentilissimi dal primo all'ultimo minuto. Non vedo l'ora di tornarci.
