Excellent! The food is just amazing! My husband had a vegan menu, I stayed with vegetarian - both of us adored the diner. I personally especially appreciated the choice of wine to accompany each dish - the combinations were pure delish! Vegetarian or not, it's totally worth a try - a true gastronomic "travel".

I speak as a neophyte in these environments but joia gave us truly new and intense emotions. We arrive and are greeted by a courteous, witty and absolutely prepared staff. They make us put our jacket in a wardrobe (and for those who aren't used to this, it already makes you feel like you're in another world), a very elegant location with lots of wood, almost Japanese style. We had lunch with the smartbox and in addition to the starter, the same for everyone, you could choose a course between the two proposals. Needless to say, the beauty and goodness of the dishes recall Japanese flavors and have never been tried before. Let me start by saying that I am a false vegetarian, I really rarely eat meat, giving me little satisfaction, while my partner doesn't eat vegetables. So the dishes opened up a world to me and my partner had to change his mind about the fact that if cooked in different ways vegetables can be really tasty. The staff was attentive to everything, from pouring water when the glasses were empty, from joking with us that we felt out of place and they put us at ease, from clearing crumbs from the table. We felt pampered. Now I'm not saying that all restaurants must have these attentions, but after this experience you have a different vision of the experience of being at the table. There were three of us and therefore I would have had to pay for the third person's lunch which was not included in the smartbox and the restaurant gave us the third lunch as a gift! So I can say that coming to this restaurant was one of the best experiences of my life and I will definitely return and maybe I will start having one starred experience a year because once you try it you can't do without it. I thank all the staff, including the kitchen who are phenomenal, for making us have a wonderful time, congratulations! Until next time.

We have already been to this restaurant a few times and if anything, the quality of the raw materials, the goodness of the food and the atmosphere have improved! Highly recommended to everyone, but especially to those who, like us, are neither vegetarian nor vegan as it allows you to discover how it is possible to create great dishes with la.matetia prima which is available in nature, treated with expert and capable hands. Chef Leemann is always very kind and makes the evening very peaceful and relaxed both with his dishes and with his very discreet presence (all the luck he deserves for his new project!)

Highly recommended experience for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. We had the opportunity to taste the Zenith menu. Spectacular sensory experience from every point of view, from quality to presentation, pairing with wines and the professionalism of the staff. Tasting menu recommended for those with an appetite, plentiful and complete. An experience definitely worth repeating.

Joia a surprise with every course. Having undertaken the path of veganism as neophytes, we wanted to try the best of vegetarian cuisine. Colorful dishes with tasty combinations. Everything truly delicious! The waiters, all very kind, with a smile on their faces, told us about the menus and guided us in our choice. In the small rooms of the light wood restaurant there was a muffled and pleasant atmosphere as if we were in meadows and woods... a chirping in the background accompanied our evening. And two courses from the end of the dinner, chef Lehmann appeared in front of us to ask how our experience had been and chatted with the customers. Thank you! Highly recommended!

Visited months ago The label of a vegetarian restaurant absolutely does not correspond to what Joia represents in the Italian gastronomic panorama. We are talking about the maximum expression of haute cuisine, overwhelming ideas, bold and unexpected combinations, exceptional raw materials, all served in an exclusive environment suitable for providing customers with a fantastic experience. Chef Leemann showed up in person to take the order and give his suggestions on the sequence of dishes. The service staff has always proven to be very prepared to answer all our questions or curiosities about the dish itself and this knowledge was not only the heritage of the waiter who brought the dish to our table and described it to us, but of all the staff who, even randomly, we stopped to ask for further explanation! The wine list was excellent from which we chose a Barbera d'Alba by Bartolo Mascarello. But let's get to the food. As entrees... and calling them entrees is definitely limiting! We were offered 2 wonderful tastings which unfortunately I cannot remember in their composition, but the first was a cream with carrot and rhubarb served in a mini terracotta vase, while the second appeared like a palette of colors where some fantastic raw materials sauces could be combined manually. My lunch then began with the "Cantiam la montanara" where, under a soft celery foam, there was a composition of green asparagus, spring onion and truffle on chopped borlotti beans. Fantastic dish, sublime with exceptional aromas!. I then continued with "The navel of the world", a wonderfully plated dish where two types of rice are used, one as a base made with asparagus and watercress, and in the center a Venere rice cake finished on top with saffron almond cream . Finally I closed the lunch with a selection of 8 cheeses, some of which were truly exceptional, accompanied by jams/honey. Obviously the bill is in line with the proposal and with the experience. I must say that it was truly a pleasure and an honor.

Torno dopo lustri da Joia, niente da dire sulla qualità del cibo, la stella è meritata. Le mie riserve sono legate al fatto che, in prima battuta, non è possibile mangiare alla carta ma solo scegliere tra un menu da 6 ed uno da 8 portate. In teoria quello da 6 si potrebbe ridurre rinunciando a formaggio (totalmente inutile) ma anche ad una interessante minestra che invece è stato uno dei piatti più apprezzati. Le 6 portate con snack, amuse bouche, predessert e pasticceria diventerebbero comunque 10, contate come certi stellati stranieri. Però il tempo rasenterebbe forse le 3 ore, che per un menù breve è tanto. Non capisco tutta sta manie di aggiungere cose ai menù, un tempo il predessert te lo davano dai 2stelle in su, ora te lo vuole dare chiunque. La spiegazione dei piatti è di una lentezza e di un dettaglio devastante, alla terza portata ho cercato cortesemente di spiegare che non ero interessato a tanta minuzia. Ora, io sarò anche stato molto stanco, ma dopo 2:30 ho chiesto il conto rinunciando a predessert e pasticceria, perché mi stavo addormentando a tavola. Al momento del conto ho pagato e mi sono stati addebitati due menù Zenith (da 8 portate) anziché quelli da 6 portate da me ordinati. La differenza è solo 10€ a persona, però anche qui due considerazioni: mai che in un ristorante sbaglino a mio favore, e poi se anziché mettere sti nomi del cavolo sul conto ma avessero scritto menu 8 portate me ne sarei accorto. Piccole imprecisioni, ma avendo ormai provato oltre 110 stellati in tutta Europa, certe lentezze mi vengono ad uggia.

Siamo stati a pranzo in un piovoso venerdì e abbiamo scelto la formula del piatto quadro. La qualità dei piatti è alta, e con 35€ si hanno quattro portate + dolce e caffè, servizio è acqua compresi. Prezzo assolutamente onesto per uno stellato! Le note negative riguardano l’ambiente un po’ anonimo e il gusto delle pietanze proposte, tutto molto “speziato”, ma cambiando quotidianamente o settimanalmente credo di essere semplicemente stata “sfortunata” per non avere incontrato sapori a me congeniali. Il dolce invece l’ho trovato veramente delizioso. Sicuramente il percorso degustazione dev’essere tutta un’altra cosa!

05/04/2024: We went for a quick lunch and had the lunch menu on a Thursday. Food was excellent, very nice (English speaking) service and the whole thing with starter, pasta, water and wine for only 15€. Very recommendable!
