Last night I decided to celebrate my birthday with the family at Mastro Giorgio's Fraschetta. I must say that the dishes were perfectly balanced, without any flaw. I have rarely been able to taste a cacio e pepe like this, almost perfect but also the amatriciana with the perfectly crunchy bacon. Very good meat and excellent cellar. The gem of artisanal bitters at the end of the meal is much appreciated. Very fast services and attentive to customer needs. I am very satisfied.

Better Master than Saint! After leaving the San Giorgio tavern (disappointed) I landed in this little place... Top Roman artichoke! Superlative chard tortellino and desserts to discover 😉

Excellent Italian cuisine. Tasty starters and high quality main dishes. Don’t hesitate to order off-menu dishes. A delight! The service provided by Sergio was exceptional.

Excellent choice of ingredients for a traditional menu full of gems. Excellent cellar and reasonable prices. If you manage to book one of the few outdoor tables the experience is even better. A beautiful discovery!

My friends and I had a FABULOUS lunch here. The server recommended some of the best red wine I have ever had. I know you can get pasta anywhere in Rome but this was some of the best pasta I have had in Italy. The whole afternoon spent here was perfect. You should absolutely stop in here for a meal!

An absolutely must-try place, in the heart of Testaccio with typical Roman cuisine. Menu with various choices between starters, first and second courses, with high quality ingredients. Impeccable service and excellent value for money.

After 3 years living in Rome, I have tasted a lot of carbonara but this one might be my favorite one. Every meal we ordered was great and service was very friendly. Highly recommend.
Only thing they could do better is the online booking which asks for too much personal info and you need to reconfirm 2 times.. not convenient.

We were greeted by a gentleman who provided us with a table and menus. The menu is really interesting, so we took some time to decide 😅 We ordered the Emiliana appetizer to start with, and as mains, we took Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe with Five Peppers and Green Tortelli with Chard, 24 month Parmigiano Reggiano and Porcini Mushrooms. We only arrived to the Primo as we don’t eat much, but the Secondi were really interesting! We took some nice red wine by the glass suggested by one of the gentlemen working at the restaurant. Servers were top in explaining anything available on the menu to their customers. To close the night, we took the “Barozzi Cake” as desert, which was suggested by one of their servers, a glass of limoncello and a great amaro. Highly recommend this restaurant. Nice setting, great staff and delicious food 👌

We were staying at the excellent Hotel Villa San Pio nearby. We have tried a few restaurants in the area over the years, but not here. Good reviews prompted us to give it a try.
The photos suggested it was a traditional trattoria. Its image has changed, probably prompted by covid. Now it’s the same decor, but more modern tables and chairs.
Staff are excellent. Nice atmosphere.
The first night we had bruschetta which was OK, bucatini Amatriciana which was delicious, meatballs which were OK and steak which was delicious. Very nice Roero Arneis and Nebbiolo wines by the glass. They have a wide wine list and are happy to have you taste a couple before deciding.
Based on the experience, we decided not to risk trying anywhere else for the following evening.
Second night we had poached egg and truffle (very good), cacio e pepe (excellent), bucatini Amatriciana and the steak again. Same Roero but a different Nebbiolo (which wasn’t quite as nice as the first night's)
It was very busy both nights, with people being turned away. We were the only non-Italians, both nights.
Definitely recommend, but best to book a table.

grazie allo staff tutto .... bellissima giornata ...e ci rivediamo presto
