Going from the meat counter to table service through a door is priceless, yet the quality of the meat, combined with excellent cooking and the complicity of simple but good wines, transforms the place into a concentration of authenticity that has a price... but which is more than honest. Fluctuating and somewhat doubtful opinion.
Let's start with the environment, not exactly warm and welcoming but that's how it is here: know that in advance. A bit industrial, a bit garage, a bit trattoria, a bit like this in short.
At the counter, different types, cuts and preparations of meat are displayed, with clear prices and ingredients.
Let's move on to food. If your goal is to get big, you're in the right place: just know that you should have at least skipped lunch. The 700g tasting menu is quite a challenge, but it rewards you with non-stop beer and drinks.
I recommend opting for starters (surprisingly good) and one or two meat dishes. Stop.
Also because the cooking method and preparations are a bit heavy overall.
Many praise the famous bowler hats which are decidedly popular here. I'll say it clearly: I didn't like them. Too fat and stringy inside. But they are tastes. My friend Carlo really liked them. But he is from Puglia😎

Buona esperienza in questa macelleria-ristorante.
Si ordina la carne al bancone (come in macelleria), ve la cucinano e ve la portano al tavolo. Scelta di carni (in particolare bombette) quasi infinita. Probabilmente vi verrà voglia di assaggiare tutte le varianti e finirete per ordinare quantità decisamente eccessive...
Buono nel complesso e costo basso per la quantità di carne divorata.

Tipologia di servizio che personalmente non avevo ancora sperimentato. Si mangia carne allo spiedo, che ciascun cliente sceglie direttamente al banco della carne, una volta ordinate le bevande ed i contorni. Il forte del ristoranze sono le "bombette". Carne di maiale preparata a modo di involtino, con ripieni di diversa tipologia. Buon cibo. Personale attento e molto disponibile.
Rapporto qualità/prezzo più che soddisfacente.
