We were looking for a place to eat and we were impressed by the chef and Alessandro who, with their friendliness and hospitality, convinced us to come in. We couldn't help but have made a better choice because we found exquisite and excellent quality food. The place is welcoming and characteristic. We were also served by Matteo who is undoubtedly the nicest Pisan in Pisa! . We highly recommend it! See you soon from the Sicilian family (Syracuse)

Let's start by saying that we arrived at 2pm and they welcomed us super well, we had the pleasure of eating excellent dishes with the right portions, at the end they offered us some bitters. If you pass by here we recommend you take the tordelli, a must try!

Corporate dinner with guests from all over Italy and beyond... we wanted to impress with excellent cuisine in Tuscany and we impressed! Excellent first courses and very tender cuts! Service like we were family. Thanks for the evening to the staff!

Just for a small lunch in this over 100 year old slow food restaurant. But what was there was far from standard Italian food, for example. B. Rigatoni with small rabbits and liver - unusual and absolutely delicious! Same with the ragout. Friendliest service and great atmosphere with lots of art on the walls and old tiles on the floor. The next time we are in Pisa we will come for dinner.

What to say?! Impeccable evening. Excellent traditional dishes, excellent wine and informal environment; all made even better by the staff, prepared, fun and truly attentive. Absolutely must try!!!!!

Nice place, friendly and helpful staff. Very good bruschetta and cold cuts. We took the Florentine steak, we weren't asked to cook it, it wasn't rare, in our opinion a little overcooked, but still good so we didn't make any comments. I recommend going there, but possibly agreeing on the cooking of the meat.

Quality of food and service. They accommodated us even without a reservation (we recommend booking, however, especially in high season), dog friendly, wide choice of wines, fair portions that are not gigantic but the first and half second courses are fairly filling. The guinea fowl ragù was exceptional and the porchettato rabbit a delicacy! The inn is wooden, well decorated, welcoming.

Siamo stati a pranzo qui dopo aver visto la mostra a Palazzo Blu, consigliato da un’amica pisana. Già quando ho prenotato il Sig. Pietro è stato molto gentile e rapido nel rispondere alle mie mail. Ambiente molto carino, piatti davvero buoni e consiglio di assaggiare la pasticceria medievale. Soddisfatti e felici

In zona centrale a Pisa si può cenare in questa vecchia osteria degustando piatti tipici e non solo. La qualità è di buon livello, così come la gentilezza e discrezione del personale. Prezzi in linea col mercato

Il Buglione Ristorante Pizzeria

18/03/2024: Excellent food and friendly, fast service. After a nice trip through the nearby Tuscan villages it was truly a pleasure to be able to eat a good plate of pici on their terrace. Highly recommended!
13/03/2024: I arrived at Buglione for a working lunch on a Monday morning. The actual dining room is downstairs, reachable after climbing a staircase. We ordered the first courses, penne alla boscaiola and pici del miner. Good flavor, some doubts about the name of the dishes, the boscaiola was a sauce with olives and generally you would expect a mushroom-based dish, but still good. The miner was excellent but they were not pici, the pici are a long format and not perforated. Even in this case, however, they are good, or rather excellent, with chilli pepper, garlic, capers and cherry tomatoes. I ask for a dessert that I saw in the window but the waitress advises me against it and invites me to have a tart, I don't take dessert. I finish with two coffees. More than honest price.

Farmstay Podere Il Fornacino

12/09/2023: I had the pleasure of staying at Podere Il Fornacino in 2015 and I have wanted to revisit ever since. I was finally able to get back in September 2023, this time with my young family in tow. There aren’t enough superlatives for this place. We stayed in the safari tent which was the very definition of ‘glamping’ - the perfect mix of luxury (with the comfortable bed, stunning linens, stand-alone bathtub, and all kitchen and bathroom mod cons) and being close to nature (with the outdoor shower nestled into an olive tree, the private hot tub and sauna with views over the rolling countryside, and the gorgeous outside deck). The setting is so peaceful and quiet and yet there are busy seaside towns and picturesque medieval villages (and more) within easy reach. Lora is an exemplary host, friendly and approachable with nothing being too much trouble. And lastly, but by no means least, the breakfast is second to none: a buffet of sweet and savoury delights with delicious local ingredients, many grown on the grounds of the farm itself. I hope to come back, and much sooner this time.
11/08/2023: We had a great few days at fornacino. The kids loved playing with the dogs and cats especially. Lora and Marco were very friendly and the food at breakfast was delicious. We made pizzas one night too which was fun. It’s so chilled here the perfect place to escape too.
