One of the best meals I had in Sicily. Homemade and tasty pasta. We ordered some Sicilian starters and a pasta dish each. The pistachio tortellini were delicious and so was the pasta with local vegetables and meat.
They were very kind to us, we arrived on the spur of the moment and at closing time and they still treated us with dedication.
Since I went I can't stop recommending it.

We go to this restaurant before going to Etna. We order a platter of cold cuts and cheeses, sparse to be honest, no jams or anything else. Good parmesan. The Shank is the pre-cooked one, I was disappointed, even if it was good. The fillet with green pepper... Perfect cooking, but the mustard doesn't do anything about it. The children's schnitzel was a cordon Blue. Experience as a 6 politician.
Durante un week-end sull'Etna, ci siamo imbattuti in questa trattoria siciliana ubicata al centro di Zafferana Etnea.
Il primo impatto non è stato un colpo di fulmine, ma il personale premuroso e attento e la pulizia dei bagni sono stati un buon modo per rompere il ghiaccio.
Abbiamo puntato su un paio di secondi piatti da condividere e la scelta si è rivelata azzeccatissima.
Sia la grigliata mista, che lo stinco al forno sono stati molto apprezzati e perfettamente in linea con i nostri gusti carnivori e goderecci.
Anche l'insalata mista di contorno era fresca e di buona qualità.
Il conto è stato onesto.
Siamo rimasti pienamente soddisfatti e ci sentiamo di raccomandare La Pentolaccia per chi si trovasse in zona.

Returning to Catania for a few days without stopping by my Zafferana? No sooner said than done, on Sunday my wife and I decided to have lunch in a restaurant that we were curious about but where we had never eaten. A risk rewarded by an excellent lunch, especially for a dish that I am very fond of: 5-star pork shank! The other courses were also very good. Good value for money. A mention to the staff who took turns at the table for various needs. In particular, one lady whose name I don't remember, we must have called her to the table 20/30 times, very polite and without being invasive. Which is a constant when I have lunch or dinner in Rome, and which I hate. Long live Zafferana!

Ottima cucina, tipica siciliana e di montagna.
Cena del 31 dicembre ma senza veglione, perfetto per cenare alla carta senza prezzi esorbitanti, con ambiente tranquillo e piacevole.
Molto accogliente il personale.
Abbiamo preso maccheroni al ragù di salsiccia e funghi (squisito) e pansotti ripieni di porcini con pistacchio (spettacolare); per secondo, tagliata ai ferri servita con funghi in umido e filetto al pepe verde, di ottima qualità.
Ottimo vino della casa. Da tornarci per provare anche gli altri piatti
