La Sirenella In Milano

I went to this fish restaurant on a Thursday evening with three friends to celebrate the birthdays of two of them. I was expecting a quiet, relaxing evening with good food. In reality the dishes were appreciable for the freshness of the fish, but the service left something to be desired. The table was located on the covered veranda between two other tables. Shortly after we arrived, four more people showed up and took seats next to us. Their voices were so loud and their "tavern" noise was that they were no longer able to talk to their nearby friend. I tried to make them understand with looks and coughs that perhaps their behavior was not appropriate, to no avail. I regretfully had to raise my voice and complain about the rudeness, only to be told that I was in the wrong because they were good people. Nobody from the restaurant intervened. So, after the raw and cooked fish appetizers, we were no longer able to continue with dinner. We paid the bill, received no apologies from the staff and left. Ruined evening! The next day I phoned the owner of the restaurant, telling the facts and underlining the lack of intervention by the staff. I got his apologies, but my evening left me with an unpleasant memory. Too bad, also for the restaurant!!!

In addition to following the historical line of the restaurant, Mr. Pasquale's young daughter added a personal and kind touch in managing the service. Always great quality

The raw and cooked appetizer is their forte, very abundant. Various delicacies including refined raw seafood that perhaps not everyone may like but absolutely worth trying and very fresh. The first ones have a guarantee. The service pays a lot of attention to the customer. One of the best fish restaurants in Milan

I came back after 2 years. Couple's dinner. They don't bring menus or wine lists...you have to request it! Pressive service ...they collect dishes that are not yet finished. Compressed tables especially those for 2 which seem like a single table, noisy environment. Prices unchanged but quantity of starters certainly reduced... the quality is always excellent. Once upon a time you had to book well in advance...now one day for the other....even on a Saturday!! I intend to return for the last test and decide whether to look for other shores.

Vengo a mangiare alla Sirenella da anni e sinceramente ogni volta è una conferma: pesce freschissimo e portate abbondanti. Il personale è sempre molto attento e gentilissimo. Fatevi consigliare da Aldo, non ve ne pentirete. Superconsigliato!!!
