La Tradizione In Portici

27/10/2023: We not only had a lovely meal here, but also stopped twice more for drinks during busy days of touring and shopping during our recent eight day stay in Sorrento. The atmosphere and location of their outdoor dining area was a perfect respite from the sun and crowds and, on each visit, we found the staff to be welcoming, friendly, helpful and charming enough to put up with my rusty Italian which they were happy to supplement with excellent English. On the day we ate dinner, we shared an appetizer of broiled shrimp which were big and meaty. My husband had a pasta dish (can't remember which) and I had a lovely filet of grouper which tasted like it had just been caught -- tender and buttery. The wine list was extensive, but we settled on a very reasonably priced Falanghina (a local specialty) each time and were never disappointed.

25/09/2023: Our food was delicious! We had the lobster over pasta and I spiced it up with the red pepper olive oil they offered. Amazing!! We also had a local grilled sea bass (with garlic, oil & parsley & lemon). It was filleted table side and was also delicious! It was so good we went back at the end of our trip. In addition, our service was very good for a very busy place.
