Laghetti Wine & Food In Chieri

Let's start from the end: the bill, excessively salty for the dishes consumed. 100 euros for an appetizer, a plain pasta for a 2 year old child (12 euros!), two second courses and dessert. At lunch. A single glass of white. Very limited portions. It would have been adequate given an exceptional location and service, but this is certainly not the case. Sin. A wasted opportunity to leave a good memory.

Una coppia chierese DOC che riscopre la propria bella città, i suoi colori, le sue luci, i suoi silenzi, i suoi sapori ... Il tutto in un angolo della piazza magico, che fa stare bene ... pochi coperti, coccolati dal proprietario-chef-cameriere-tuttofare ... piatti curati, una carta dei vini incredibilmente ricca. Il tortino di mele e cannella ci immerge poi nel clima natalizio ... Consigliato!

The food made my wife cry. It is the best meal I've had in Italy. We actually started looking for property here when we started eating. As an appetizer we got was a creation of rabbit, flattened beans and salted ricotta. The blend was incredible. For the main meal, I got the beef ribs, my wife got the pasta with squid. Starting with the pasta, it was cooked perfectly el dente with a gorgeous seafood sauce. (No picture, sorry) The beef ribs I got were the perfect embodiment of umami. Didn't really even need the knife provided. It is not hard to imagine that he just has a magic wand back there instead of a stove. The service was prompt and informative. He guided us towards the best choices for our palette, but to be honest I don't think you can go wrong. His wine pairings were spectacular. The ambience was a blend of small town chic and Italian elegance with a touch of classic rock for music that while originally would throw you for a loop, eating these meals to Pink Floyd is an experience in itself. Just go... Don't think twice. Whatever is on the menu when you show up will be amazing.
