L'Antica Fraschetta In Roma

Unbeatable place to eat 100% traditional Roman food. We had dinner there 2 of our 4 nights in Rome because it was close to the hotel and it was a real success: quiet neighborhood despite being central, without crowds of tourists, very good food and great service. We can't say anything bad. Their carbonara is very good, as is any starter you decide on, and the homemade pizzas are spectacular. I hope we repeat one day ❤️

Nice quiet place (April, evening). Few tourists walk along this street, so you can sit quietly in silence. ☺️ Delicious pasta, which is additionally served with a lot of grated Parmesan. I liked the pizza too! The dough is good, soft, with crispy sides. We ate enough that we didn’t even order dessert☺️ The service costs 1.5 euros per person (it seems even a little cheaper than in other establishments in the city) Pasta prices are slightly lower than in many other restaurants. The price of pizza, given its size, is slightly higher than in ordinary eateries, but the pizza is made with delicious tomato sauce and good meat. P.S. Friendly and unobtrusive staff, they remove empty dishes in a timely manner. The dishes were served in about 15 minutes. They ask in what order the ordered dishes should be served. We asked for pizza after the pasta, and the staff brought the pizza right after we finished the pasta. Everything is fine! 👍☺️

We were on the terrace to eat pasta, the service was very fast and the food was delicious.

The ‘Cacio e Pepe’ was pretty tasteless, the gnocchi ok. Nice atmosphere, and we might go again, but so far not great. Update: the pinsa is very good.

Good food, very fast and good service and a really Italian atmosphere. It was a perfect fit for us.

We had a luxury dinner! There was a queue when we arrived because without a reservation it seems that it is quite difficult to get a place inside, they immediately placed us on the terrace and took our order. We ordered 2 pizzas that were amazing. The treatment of the waiters very good. We will definitely repeat during our stay in the city.

I am pretty sure we ate here on our 2nd evening in Rome. The restaurant was only a few blocks from our hotel (about a block off Via Nazionale). I think the proximity and the fact that they opened by 6 p.m. were both factors in our choosing it. They had some outdoor dining (at the time, partially-covered tables on or next to the sidewalk with heaters). It was just cool enough for us to opt for inside dining. The diners seemed to be largely small parties of tourists. There may have been some locals too, but I don't recall specifically. One thing that struck me about 3 - 4 of the restaurants like this was the interior similarity. All of them had wood bar/counters, mostly-plastered interior walls that had bits of exposed brick (that seemed added, as if there were not actual brick underneath), wall decorations related to Italian food / regions, etc. I'm not complaining at all, but it was interesting. The sameness wasn't quite to the level you'd get at a chain restaurant in the U.S. (like Macaroni Grill, for instance) but they were more alike than I'd have expected for random unrelated places. The service was good. I think we all got pasta (our first on the trip). Mine (linguini, I think) was slightly chewier than I'm used to. I don't think this was any cooking issue, just the style. Pasta consistencies seemed to vary depending on the restaurant. I liked it well enough and it was flavorful. Others in our group also liked their pasta dishes. I think this place had the standard 1 - 2 Euro 'cover charge' and if you wanted water to drink it was from a bottle (not complimentary). That was the same throughout Italy. The bill payment was handled by a waiter at the table with a handheld PoS device, which was also common. I don't recall any negatives really. If you are close by and want a good pasta dinner, this place is a good option.

Locale tipico , ben curato e pulito . Personale veramente cortese e servizio rapido ! Come si mangia?? Veramente tutto ottimo ! Assaggiato vari antipasti e preso alcuni piatti tipici romani . Abbacchio di livello superiore ! Bravi
